MY Challenge!

Oh my goodness!  What a busy day!!  Have you enjoyed the blog hop and all the fabulous challenges?  You are gonna be so happy you made it through the day since I have an AWESOME prize for my challenge.

My challenge is a limited supplies challenge.  You may use:
1 kind of ribbon
2 colors (plus one neutral)
3 layers

That's it!  Remember, you only have one hour to complete this challenge from the time you decide to start.  Link up your creation right here on this post to be entered to win.  If you upload to SCS or PCP, please use keyword EICAshley.

For my card, I used Lucky Bunny's by The Greeting Farm.  How cute is this bunny?  Seriously!  And I used some brown velvet ribbon.  The DP is from Stampin' Up.  Easy Peasy!

Here are some samples from my awesome DT:

Shannon's tree card
Kerry's leaf card
Lindsay's butterfly card

Here's the AWESOME The Greeting Farm prize you can win for this challenge!

Heather's Challenge

Heather is having some technical difficulties today so I am posting her challenge for you.  Her sweet little girl Piper drew us this sketch for her challenge.  She's really quite famous.  She was a guest sketch artist for Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesday.  And here's her second sketch right here for us!  I believe today is little Piper's 7th birthday.  Happy Birthday Piper!!  All you have to do to play the challenge is make a card or layout or whatever based on Piper's sketch.  If you upload to SCS or PCP please use keyword EICHeather.

Like I said, poor sweet Heather is having some technical difficulties today.  As well as it being Piper's birthday.  And she has family visiting.  So, the lovely Janna Hull has made a fabulous sample for Heather to show off Piper's sketch.  Thanks so much Janna!  You are awesome and a wonderful friend!  You totally saved the day here!

Here's my sample:

And here's Shannon's sample:
And here's the AMAZING prize you can win from our awesome sponsor Two Scoops of Rice Designs!!  The second picture is a close up so you can see the cute stamps!

Sara's Challenge

Can I just tell you how lucky I am to have Sara Henton for my guest designer this month??  She's the SWEETEST girl in the world and I love her to death!  This is her last day.  :(  She stepped in and did the blog hop with us, what an awesome gal!  Thank you so much Sara!  You were a wonderful addition this month and a treat to work with!

Sara's challenge is to use acetate or something clear on  your card.  This is my card using Paper Makeup Stamps and some bamboo print acetate.  Very simple but it's my first clear card ever so cut me some slack!  If you upload to SCS or PCP please use keyword EICSara.

Go to Sara's blog to check out the awesome prize she has for you!

Jackie's Challenge

I made this for my sweet girl Jackie's challenge.  Her son is having oral surgery today, so keep them in your thoughts.  Jackie has a sketch for you as well as a color challenge to let your DP guide what colors you use.  Fun fun!  I think my stamp is from Inkadinkado.  I think.

Check out Jackie's blog for the amazing prize you can win!  If you do the challenge and upload to SCS or PCP please use keyword EICJac.

Lindsay's Challenge

This is my card for Lindsay's Challenge!  It's a no designer or patterned paper challenge!  Isn't that CRAZY?!?  I think it's crazy!  If you upload to PCP or SCS please use keyword EICLin.  Check out Lindsay's blog for the prize she has!

Here's my Little Red Riding Hood Anya card from the Greeting Farm.  I HAD to Cuttlebug my papers.  I love DP immensely!  This was also for the CASE challenge on Marie's blog earlier this week.

Lee's Challenge!

My glitter girl, Lee is up next!  She has a FUN color challenge for you all!  Check out her blog!  If you upload to SCS or PCP, please use keyword EICLee!  YAY!  Also, you need to see the AWESOME prize that Lee has to give to you all!

My card used Carrie from Rubber Romance.  I put Stickles on her shorts to make her EXTRA sassy!  What do you think?

Tiffany's Challenge!

YAY!  We are starting!  Woohoo!  I'm here to post my card for Tiffany's challenge.  You've actually already seen this card but now you'll get to know why I made it.

Tiff's challenge is to do a search on Etsy for the word "inspired" and then make a card based on whatever you find that inspires you.  I found THIS.  I think you can see where my inspiration translates.  :)  I used Unity's Butterfly Beauty for this card.  If you upload to PCP or SCS please use keywork EICTiff.

Join us on our PCP group for chatting!  Tiffany has OBP stamps she's giving away!!!

EtsyInspired #25 Winner!

*** This is my third post for today, yet again so please scroll down!  My HHH is the next one down.  ***

This is Random.Brady, just in case you didn't already know.  What is Random.Brady doing, you might ask.  Well, Brady is a bit of a nudist.  He was trying to take off his one piece pajamas and this is as far as he got before he started yelling for me to help.  Maybe now you know why I call him Random.Brady.  ;)

Ok, he did do a drawing today.  Maybe when he gets older, I can actually take a picture of him and the name he picked but until then, you'll just have to trust me.  This week's winner is Noemi!  Yay Noemi!  I love her super geometric card with the fun colors!  Noemi, I will email AngelFoods and give her your name.  Whenever you want to use your free shipping coupon, just contact the shop directly.  Thanks!

Here's Noemi's winning card for all to enjoy!

HHH and a Peek at Tomorrow's Blog Hop

Alright, so this is  a bit more than a peek but whateva!  ;)  This is a card I made for tomorrow's blog hop challenge!  What's the challenge?  Hmm, you'll have to come back and see!

This is just a super simple card I put together using Unity's Butterfly Beauty set.  I cut out the butterfly, added some ribbon, and put it all on white card stock.  Super easy.  But I really like how it turned out and it suits the challenge that will be given perfectly!

Come back tomorrow for the Hop with the EtsyInspired 8, challenges, fun and prizes!!!

Sponsor Spotlight #10 ~ Unity Stamp Co

So, last but certainly not least is Unity Stamp Co. They are also sponsoring one of our challenges on Feb 28th. And if you've been to my blog before, you know how I love Unity.

Unity offers deep etched red rubber stamps that are either unmounted in sets or wood slide mounted in singles. They stamp really clean and beautiful images. The images are super cute and fun. People have called Unity trendy and I think they are right. Unity is on the edge of what is hot right now. They have lots of new releases, lots of amazing artists, and great customer service. The customer service is really what drew me in. Angela, the owner, is as sweet as people get. And she surrounds herself in wonderful people. I always feel special and cherished as a customer when I talk to the Unity crew.

Come back on Feb 28th to see the amazing Unity prize we have in store for you! And I'll be back later on today with a Unity card to share.

More VSN

Here are the rest of the cards I was able to make for VSN.  Like I said before I was sick and I really didn't get to participate a lot.  I'm super bummed since I've been looking forward to VSN for quite some time.  Oh well, there's always next time.

The first one, I particularly like.  It was for Christi Snow's color challenge.  I used Unity's Beauty of Dreams single and some Martha Stewart butterflies that were punched from card stock.  Super simple but I really like how it turned out.  It's my favorite one I made for VSN.

This next card was for Tessa's Obsession challenge.  I'm kind of sad that I never got to upload it for the challenge.  I was just feeling so icky, I never got around to taking the picture and upload to SCS.  But I'm sharing it now, so all is not lost.  This obviously about my Hello Kitty obsession!

I've been a huge Hello Kitty fan ever since I can remember.  I still go into the Sanrio store since I love it in there so much!  This was made with Hello Kitty paper from my LSS.  I punched one Hello Kitty out to use as a spotlight.  I just added some dew drops and ribbon.  Super duper easy.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!  I'll be at Hip Hop on the Unity Forum if you need to find me!  :)

Sponsor Spotlight #9 - Limelight Papercrafts

I big puffy heart Limelight Papercrafts and the owner Mandy. That's no secret. And of course, I'm just thrilled that Limelight is a sponsor for the Feb 28th blog hop event! Mandy is offering a prize that any scrapper or card maker would love!

Have you ever been to the Limelight site?? If not, you should run over there right now! They have all my favorite things in one shop and US residents get $5 flat rate shipping! No matter how big your order, so order a lot! What do I love at Limelight? Just Johanna's Odd Bird Planet Stamps, Unity Stamp Co, Pink Cat Studio Stamps, Basic Grey paper and accessories, Stickles, Prima flowers, and the list goes on and on. That and Mandy ships orders super fast, sometimes even the next day!

Come back on Feb 28th to see the amazing prize pack that Mandy is gonna give away. Also, check out the Limelight blog for fun challenges with awesome prizes every week!

Flutter By Wednesday #46

I'm so sad I missed last week's Flutter By post! I had the flu and no internet! But I've had my card ready for quite some time for this week's post. The challenge this week was to use orange and yellow. I hope it's ok that I used a little bit of pink too.

The butterfly is from a Sandylion set I got at Michael's. On the scalloped circle, I did orange and yellow dots, not sure you can really see them but it makes things very cute. The rest of the card is pretty straight forward.

If you play along, please link to Danni's post. And if you upload to SCS or PCP, please use keyword FBW46 so we can find all the creations together. Don't forget to check out all the DT members, I have their links on the side of the my blog under Danni's cute little button. ---------->

Sponsor Spotlight #8 - The Greeting Farm

I'm sure you've all heard of The Greeting Farm (formerly Pink Poison) by now. Marie (the owner) is an amazing artist and crafter. She's also super cute even though we all thought she was a little pink bunny at first. :)

The Greeting Farm just took off this last year and I think it's because Marie has an amazing knack for picking talent. She has the most amazing design team and they really spread the word about this awesome company. I think the most famous person though is Anya, she even has her own fan club! Anya and her adorable boyfriend Ian are just the beginning of all the cuteness that The Greeting Farm has. They have adorable stamp sets with animals, different characters, nature, and quotes.

All the images are fun to color and make cards out of! I just love them! I'm sure you've seen a few Greeting Farm cards right here on my blog. I am super excited to have them on as one of our amazing sponsors! Marie was EXTREMELY generous with her prize, I wish I could win! Come back on Feb 28th to see what you can win!

Happy Birthday Princess Taylor Jones! (3rd post for today)

Ok, so three posts in one day might be overkill but what can I do?  I really wanted to tell you all about this awesome blog candy opportunity.  Chelsea (one of the Unity Scrapbook DT members) is having a card drive for the sweet Taylor Jones, can you read about it HERE.  All you have to do is make a card and send it to Taylor to be entered to win!  Taylor's birthday is coming up too, so it's just icing on the cake to be entered to win something.

I used Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesday challenge to make this card.  Madelynn decided to do an inspiration challenge this week (a girl after my own heart.)  I had to play along since I love inspiration challenges!  Plus, what better way to make a card for a sweet little girl than to be inspired by another sweet little girl.  I used the color and the shape of the foam as my inspiration for this card.

So, make a card and send it to Taylor.  Even if you don't win, you'll feel great about yourself and isn't that what it's all about?

A Little VSN Love

I wasn't feel great this weekend so I didn't get to do a whole lot with VSN which I am really sad about.

This is a card I made for the first challenge, it was a sketch challenge and you were supposed to put something you LOVE on the card.  I hadn't made Brady's Valentine's card for his baby book  yet so this is it.  This is one of my absolute favorite pictures of Brady, look at that sweet face!

This card was SUPER easy, it took under 10 minutes to make and I just love the way it turned out!  It's a perfect little addition to Brady's baby book!  I used a chipboard heart and hand wrote on it.  And I used clear rhinestones and colored them with red Sharpie to make them match.  Easy peasy!

Sponsor Spotlight #7 - Two Scoops of Rice Designs

I've been absolutely in love with Two Scoops of Rice Designs for the longest time. I was so happy when Renae agreed to be one of our sponsors for our Hop with the EtsyInspired Eight.

The big thing that drew me in is the Japanese Kawaii (meaning cute) style of the art. I LOVE Kawaii! Anything cute and happy sits well with me. I borrowed this image from Renae's blog to show you, I hope she doesn't get mad. It's a Vietnamese Pho bowl! I am Vietnamese and I've barely seen any Vietnamese stamps so I was super excited about this! There are a lot of really fun food stamps offered, fabulous ethnic food like fried rice, mochi, etc... Two Scoops of Rice Designs also has animals, little geisha dolls, a new line of fairies, and a brand new set of Mardi Gras stamps. So fun!

I'm just over the moon about this company and I hope you'll check it out and love it as much as I do! And come back on Feb 28th and see what they'll be giving away!

A Greeting Farm Sketch

Last week, Marie from The Greeting Farm posted up a sketch on her blog.  It's too late to enter to win, but like I said, I have a lot to blog about since I had limited internet last week.

This is Space Ian.  Isn't he the cutest?  Now, I have a funny story to tell about this card.  It goes something like this:

Me: What color should I make his space suit?
DH: Navy blue and red.
Me: Are you sure?  Shouldn't it be grey or something?
DH: I'm sure.
Me: I'm done, is this what he should look like?
DH: I liked him better before you colored him.
Me: You told me to color him like that.

I think he's cute nonetheless however I've learned from my good friend Ryann to just stop asking the DH.  And since I've learned this little secret from Ryann, I thought I would share it with all of you.  Don't ask your DH's opinion, men are FICKLE!  ;)

Sponsor Spotlight #6 - Timeless Paper Arts

My friend Kalla is the owner of an online scrapbook store called Timeless Paper Arts. I met her on Etsy where she has an amazing store full of her very own creations. You can tell by her creations, she really knows what she's doing as a paper crafter. That's one of the reasons I like her online store so much, I really trust her judgement and know that she picks beautiful things to sell.

The Timeless Paper Arts online shop has a great assortment of items at really good prices. She has everything from gorgeous paper lines like Cherry Arte, Dream Street, Bo Bunny, etc... She sells lots of mini albums and items to alter. And I love her assortment of embellishments! This is the only place where I've been able to find Kaiser Craft flowers (which I prefer over Primas), a bunch of Doodlebug accessories, and rain dots! You should check out her amazing assortment of items!

For our special Feb 28th event, Kalla is giving us a special code for my amazing readers:
$5 off orders of $25 or more [before shipping]
Coupon Code- HRTHUGS
valid Feb. 21-Mar. 21, 2009
US residents only

Come back on Feb 28th to see the awesome prize Kalla is giving away for one of the challenges!

EtsyInspired #24 Winner!

****Third post for today, please scroll down!****

Jacquie!  Random.Brady picked you to be the winner for the EtsyInspired challenge for last week!  Sorry this drawing is so late!  We are all still sick and Brady had a ROUGH morning.  Jacquie, you know the drill!

Altered Album

I'm finally getting around to showing the altered album I made for my hubby for Valentine's Day.  With the flu and then the internet being off, I'm a bit behind on my blogging.  But that's ok since I have lots of samples to make for next Saturday!

This is a heart shaped chipboard album I picked up at my LSS.  The whole thing is done in red, white, and black.  It's a "What I Love About You" album.  Each page has a picture and a little journalling area stating things I love about my husband.  And then there's embellishments too.

I'm not gonna go through and show it page by page since I'm sure you don't wanna see all the pictures of my DH.
But here's the album from a side view so you can get an idea of what I used.  I got this fabulous $1 set of chipboard buttons from Michael's that I used a bunch of in this album.  There are also tags, love stickers, and some ribbon.

That's about it.  We are having a tough Sunday.  Tiny Monster has decided that this morning is perfect for 2 hour long tantrums.  Wish me luck!

Sponsor Spotlight #5 - Rubber Romance

I first heard about Rubber Romance on Etsy when I was doing a search for rubber stamps.  Like I've said before, I do a lot of supply shopping on Etsy.  I absolutely fell in love with these stamps from the second I saw them!  However, after I used them, I fell even more in love.

My favorite from Rubber Romance are the Divas.  They are so sassy and fashionable!  I love them!  But that's not the only reason.  You see, I'm not great at coloring.  I find that I'm mediocre at it, probably coloring as well as a elementary school student.  But with Rubber Romance stamps, the shading is already built in!  So, I can color with my normal technique but it looks really nice since the shading and details are already built into the stamps!

If you go to the Rubber Romance website, you can find a huge variety of stamps!  You can find everything from background stamps, simple shapes, flowers, etc...  But don't forget to check out those Divas, they are awesome!  And come back on Feb 28th to see what Rubber Romance will be giving away as a challenge prize!!

Sponsor Spotlight #4 - Lovely Supplies

****Second post for today, please scroll down****

I'll let you all in on a secret, I LOVE buying supplies from Etsy!  And I thought since today is the day of the EtsyInspired challenge (see below), I would feature a sponsor from Etsy.

One of our amazing sponsors for our Feb 28th event is Lovely Supplies.  And let me tell you, the name doesn't lie!  She has some lovely supplies for GREAT prices!  Everything for chipboard alphas (my favorite!) to glitter to paper to stamp pads, Justine carries everything!  One of the reasons I love to buy things on Etsy is that I find things that are unique and not like everyone else has.  So, I can make cards that are different from everyone else's cards.

This shop is super affordable!  I can't believe the amazing deals!  And since it's based out of Canada, there are a lot of items I've never seen before!  Go check out it!  Also, come back on Feb 28th to see the AMAZING prize that Lovely Supplies donated to our event!

EtsyInspired #25 ~ AngeLFood

This week's super yummy shop is AngeLFood. Mary is a baker who makes all the exquisite treats in this shop. There are custom personalized cookies that would add that extra wow factor to any party. And she makes a variety of amazing looking brownies. I really like all the care and detail that goes into these treats. They are very pretty, almost too pretty to eat! They are also perfect for any kind of party like a baby shower, birthday party, sports team party, etc...
This week, Mary is offering a gift certificate for free shipping to the winner. Yum, you can get treats delivered right to your door! All you have to do to be entered to win is make any creation inspired by your choice of any item in the AngeLFood shop. Post a link to your creation right on on this blog post by next Friday Feb 27 at noon Pacific time and you'll be entered to win! Now, go be EtsyInspired!

Here is my card for this challenge. I was inspired by her sweet flower cookie seen HERE. I picked this designer paper because the flowers reminded me of the cookies. Then I colored in Lily for Pink Cat Studio to match.
Look! My girl Lindsay is back! I'm so excited! How cute is this little layout??
This is Jackie's yummy spring card! Love those colors!
Here's Joy's delicious cookie card. I love circle cards, but they intimidate me!
Look at Shannon's awesome card! I love that background stamping!
Here's Kerry's sweet friend card. I love the colors and those flowers!

Guest DT member Sara made a fun fudge card! Reminds me of my family!
This is Heather's poker card. How cute is this??
And here's Lee's awesome treat box!

Some Makeup Blogging

Can I just say how much I love having the internet back?  Oh my goodness, I've missed it so much!  And though I've been borrowing some internet, it's not the same as having it right here on my desktop where all my pictures are.  YAY!

Here are a couple cards I made with my new order from Paper Makeup Stamps.  This first card is for the PMS color challenge on the PMS blog.  The challenge was to use pink and grey.  Easy peasy.  I love pink and grey.  My card uses the Swirlie Tree.  Isn't it awesome, I love the swirls and the size of this stamp!

My second card uses Panda Hugs.  Katie actually contacted me before she made this set because she wanted to make a "You hug my heart" sentiment.  Of course, I was over the moon for the thought!  I mean, that's my favorite saying and now I have it on a stamp!  YAY!  And how sweet is this little panda??

Alright, I'm off for a bit.  The kid wants to eat.
