Holy Exciting Stuff Batman!
I'm gonna condense all my exciting news and going ons into one blog post. I don't know why. I have a "thing" with posting once a day. I guess I don't want someone to come and just read the top post and miss out on the other stuff.

First off, I (little old me) was on the Unity blog yesterday. In case you didn't know, Unity will be sponsoring the EtsyInspired Challenge every last Saturday of the month for the next few months. How awesome is that? But I never expected Angela to plug it on her blog! She is the SWEETEST person and a huge reason why I love Unity so much.
Second, I was also on the Rubber Romance blog yesterday. :) I won the sketch challenge and they put my card on their blog. I thought that was a really sweet gesture and I appreciate that they like my work!
Third, two of my AMAZING friends are putting together a new and innovative site called Torendi. My friend and EIC DT member Tiffany and my friend and EIC June Guest designer Jenn are the two behind this awesome site. I can't wait for the launch on 9-9-09! It's gonna be awesome! You can check out the Torendi blog and there's even a giveaway going on. And their first guest designer is the amazing Maren!
Fourth, EtsyInspired will be launching a brand new blog of it's own within the next week! :) I'm so stinkin excited, you have no idea! It's still under construction but feel free to follow it, you never know when there will be follower blog candy.

Lastly, I made a card for Moxie Fab. I know, this isn't news or anything but I don't like leaving a post without anything creative to share. This is for their clean and graphic holiday card challenge. You should hop over to the site and check out all the challenges and see what people all over blogland are doing with them!

Your Next Stamp 1st Design Team Call
Ok, so I'm totally last minute on this one but I've decided to try out for the Your Next Stamp design team. To try out, they ask that you post two of your best cards to your blog on a post with this title. See how good I am at following directions?I wasn't sure I was going to try out for anymore design teams, but I figure one more shot is worth it. :) Plus, the stamps are just so darn cute, how could I resist? Totally my style which Tiff defines as fun and cute. So, someone please tell me why I spent so much time trying to be clean and simple. Teehee!

These are repeat cards but what can I tell you? They are a couple of my favorites. Wish me luck! And if you tried out, good luck to you too! Hugs!
HHH: Tree Style!

So, I don't know who came up with it but this HHH is supposed to have a tree theme. I racked my brain which is rather difficult since I'd been up since 4:30am. This card didn't come out exactly how I had hoped and DID NOT make it in time to be submitted for the hip hop challenges but here it is in all it's "tree glory."
The stamp is Unity of course. It hadn't been inked up so I thought I would go with it instead of a Giggle Grove tree. I think it's festive. The designer paper is DCWV which I have been using UP with week. The ribbon is from Michael's. And the CB folder has ornaments on it. I don't know what it's called, I just got this paper in a WRAK.
Happy Friday everyone! Hugs!

Could I Be Moxie Fab?
Honestly, I would NEVER describe myself as Moxie Fab but this week Cath put up a challenge to make a Cute and Fun holiday card. Cute and fun, I can do that. You should check out the Moxie Fab blog for all the challenges and take a peak at the amazing entries people are submitting! So, here's my attempt at being cute and fun AND Moxie Fab. There's NO stamping on this card! Yikes! I took Cath's advice and found a nice chipboard embellie to use. The paper is DCWV as is the chipboard. The ribbon is from Michael's. And the rhinestones are Darice.
PS I freehand my ribbon pleating. It's not an easy task. I constantly have to redo it when I go to grab my stapler. But have no fear, read Tiff's tutorial and you could save yourself lots of time! (Like I should have.)
PPS I have blog candy, go HERE.
A Rubber Romance Sketch
It's super early and I have a baby sleeping on me so I will keep this rather short. Rubber Romance is having a sketch challenge on their blog. You can find the details HERE. I couldn't decide if I wanted to make a holiday card or not so I made one that works for Christmas but doesn't HAVE to be a Christmas card. How's that for indecisive? The main image is Rubber Romance. The sentiment is Stampin Up. The paper is DCWV. I finished with flowers, dew drops, bling, Stickles, and a little red marker for the dots. I'm pretty happy with this.
Happy Thursday!

CAS Purse Inspired
I think one of these days, I won't be so tired. Having two kids is exhausting! Not to mention trying to keep a clean house and cooking. I don't know how people do it! Sometimes I think it would be easier to go back to work! Enough about me!Here's a card I made for this week's CAS challenge on SCS. We were supposed to be inspired by Anthropologie handbags and shoes. I love love love bags! Love! Just to make that clear. :) I found my inspiration in THIS bag. I would not be mad at all if it showed up at my house!
This card kind of took on a life of it's own. I had intended to go with more pinks and purples but I picked out these papers and I thought I should definitely use them. Then I decided my maroon ribbon wouldn't work so I used this blue instead. The paper is Basic Grey. The stamp is Unity from the July 09 KOTM. Kind of an out of the box card from me, but I like to try new things every now and then.
Happy Wednesday everyone!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge
I just found out about Dawn McVey's color challenge on her blog. I used to frequent her blog but for some reason (Parker?) I got really busy. But Dawn is super sweet, I mean just look at her. She used to write me back every time I made a comment on her blog.Ok, so this is my card for the color challenge. The challenge was to use Melon, Cream, Moss, and Medium Pink. My image is Sugar Nellie, one of the Gorjuss Girls. My sentiment is Unity from the June 09 KOTM. The CB folder is Stylized Flowers. There are Stickles on the fairy wings, of course, that's my thing. I'm not super crazy about this card but it's kind of cute.
Today, I MUST clean the house! Oy! It's a horrific mess! Hurricane Brady hits like 10 times a day here. You should see my living room, there are toys where you wouldn't ever think there could be toys! Happy Tuesday friends!

Limelight Baby Card
Oh thank goodness I can blog again! My keyboard was broken and Dustin just went to Staples and got me a new one with our Staples Rewards Dollars. It sure does pay to recycle your old ink cartridges! Here's a card I made for last week's Limelight sketch and product challenge. The product focus was stickers. I used a Colorbok chipboard sticker. The stamp is from Pink Cat Studio's Dress Me Sweetpea. The designer paper is Stampin Up. I used Prismacolor pencils to color in the image. Easy peasy.

EtsyInspired Challenge #50 ~ Mrs. Kwitty's Cottage and a Giveaway
This week's EtsyInspired shop is Mrs. Kwitty's Cottage. This cute little shop has all sorts of stuff in it. She has cute fabric stuff like totes, brooches, memo book covers, cell phone pouches, keychain wallets, tote bags, tissue packets, business card wallets and lots more. She has adorable paper stuff like bookmarks, tags, cards, collages, and garlands. Actually, she has more stuff than I can name. What's amazing is that her shop looks very focused and together. I don't know a lot of shops that can pull that off. I really like her eye for putting different patterns together. Her style is sweet and shabby chic and it comes across in everything she does.
This week Mrs. Kwitty's Cottage is giving out an awesome prize made just for this challenge! It's a sweet little covered notebook with these adorable little set of matching vintage button paper clips. All you have to do to win is go to Mrs. Kwitty's Cottage and pick out any item to be inspired by. Make any creation you'd like and post a link to it right HERE on this post. Have your project linked by next Friday Aug 28 by noon Pacific time. If you upload to SCS or PCP, please use keyword EIC50.
In addition to the wonderful giveaway from Mrs. Kwitty, we have a sponsor this week! Our sponsor is Ildi Co. They have a bunch of really adorable stamps. I hear there are gonna be a bunch more stamps really soon too! They are offering up 3 digital stamps of the winner's choice and a 10% off coupon for their next purchase. So, two awesome prizes!Go be EtsyInspired!
Here is my card for this week. I was inspired by THIS piece. I noticed that she likes to combine florals and polka dots. I thought that was a cool idea. The stamp is Unity and the designer paper is Stampin Up. I used the GetSketchy sketch from this week for the layout.

HHH: One Layer
***My post is kind of a downer, sorry!***My mojo is a little on the fritz. It's been an especially hard week with my grandpa's funeral. Then to top it off, I learned that my grandmother was diagnosed with lung cancer. My mind, body, and spirit are just tired. But hopefully, I'll be back to my normal self soon.
This is a one layer card I made. I love all the quotes that Angela chooses to make into stamps. She's so good at picking beautiful and motivational quotes. This one and the flower stamp are from Unity's August 09 KOTM. Easy Peasy!
Have a good weekend all! Thanks for visiting!

One More for VSN
Here's another card I made for VSN. This is for the Orchid Soup challenge to make a card with a flower and a circle. I CASEd Jeanne Streiff's idea of making the Unity clouds into a flower. This card uses the Unity July 09 KOTM. I actually crumpled the background paper for more texture, it's Colorbok. Today, we are off to my grandpa's funeral. Dustin was able to take a day off for bereavement so he'll be accompanying me and both kids (per request of my parents) to the service. This will be the first time that we will attend an event like this together and obviously, the first time for the kids. Wish us luck!
Here's a picture of the last time we got to see Grandpa Sid. He was in the hospital. Still sweet. Still funny. Still a joy to be around. I'm thankful for these pictures.
Have a good Wednesday my sweet friends.

AiFactory Paper Craft Planet Challenge
AiFactory is currently sponsoring a challenge on Paper Craft Planet. The challenge is to make a project, anything at all, using AiFactory products. And like I've said before, there's a Freebie section that you can use. The winner of the challenge gets a gift certificate to the store!I made a digi layout. These pictures were from earlier this year. Brady loves to hang out in his towel. It's so cute! It reminds me of a cape. I used the Superhero Set from AiFactory to created my layout.
You can read about the challenge on Paper Craft Planet HERE. Hope you'll join us and enjoy the fun!
My Sunshine
Here's another card I made for VSN. It was for the My Favorite Martini challenge and I picked the Cosmo. The recipe is regal rose, pumpkin pie, white, and yellow. The garnishes were Stickles and ribbon. My card uses Unity's July 09 KOTM. I love this stamp! I think it's PERFECT for my boys! :) I covered the sun in Stickles so it really sparkles. The designer paper is Making Memories. I love paisley. Did you know? I want to name one of my kids Paisley but DH is a no go.
Happy Tuesday everyone!

Bug Hugs for Tiff
So, funny story. I was having a BAD day and I was venting to my sweet friend Tiffany. After comforting me and giving me support, she writes "Bug Hugs." She quickly fixed her typo, she had meant "big hugs" but I thought bug hugs was super cute so it kind of stuck.I told Tiff she should make me a Bug Hugs card (click to see it) and I thought I should make her one too. You can see how thoroughly different our styles are if you look at the cards. I also made this for VSN Knife Skills challenge. The challenge was to use any cutting tools available to you, I used my Cuttlebug to cut out these butterflies. The little sentiment is from Unity Stamp Company. The designer paper is Stampin Up. I added pearls, ribbon, and dew drops.
Have a happy Monday everyone and BUG HUGS to all of you!

EtsyInspired Challenge #49 ~ MelissaKate and a Giveaway
This week's EtsyInspired shop is MelissaKate. She's very talented in many things. She makes awesome cards, photos, and prints. The best thing about her shop is that everything is eco-friendly! How cool is that? She has the adorable line of cards. Her cards feature things like sweet birds, yummy treats, flowers, hearts (you know I love hearts!) and lots more. Her cards are made with blocks that she hand carves which is so awesome! She has lovely paintings that she sells giclees of. She has hand painted ribbon for the finishing touches to cards or packages. And she takes lovely photographs that you can buy prints of as well!
This week, MelissaKate is offering a non photo card of the winner's choice as the prize. All you have to do to win is pick any item from the MelissaKate shop to be inspired by and make a creation of your choice. Your creation can be anything ie a card, a drawing, a layout, a cake, a piece of jewelry, etc... Take a picture of your creation and leave a link to it right here on this post by Aug 21 at noon Pacific time. You will be entered in a drawing to win the card of your choice! If you upload to SCS or PCP, please use keyword EIC49.
We also have a special sponsor this week! AiFactory is the company I am currently designing for. They offer tons of different digital stamps, clip art, vector art, photoshop brushes, and much more! The shop hasn't even launched yet and it's full of awesome stuff! I've seen the artists they are adding and trust me, you will LOVE them! There's tons of freebies too with more being added all the time so check that out as well! On top of the drawing for the card, you will also be entered to win a new Blog Couture blog banner with custom personalization! This is a $22 value! Now, what are you waiting for? Go be EtsyInspired!
Here's my card for this week. It's inspired by all the love and heart cards in the MelissaKate store. I used Unity's August 09 KOTM Follow Your Heart. This is a super simple card since the style of the shop is very simple. The heart is popped up on dimensionals. The edges are done in Stickles and the swirls in the wings are outlined using Spica pen.

AiFactory Challenge Brought to You by Yours Truly and Some Blog Candy
Mia is letting me host a challenge over at the AiFactory blog and Ning Group. :) How cool is that? I'm pretty stoked! I would love if you all played along since it's the VERY first challenge that I've hosted for this company and I'd love if they let me do it again. The challenge is super simple! You just make something with a baby theme. That's it. A card, layout, altered item, or anything else you want. You don't have to use AiFactory items on your project but we would love it if you did! There's a whole FREEBIE section that you can use!
Here's my sample. It's a completely digital card. I made this using the Stitch-N-Sew Set. I made the designer paper with the butterfly outlines, the patchwork butterfly with the pink outline is the main image, and I used the little buttons to embellish. I added some text and voila!
Here's how you play. Make your baby themed creation and upload it to the AiFactory Ning Group using the keyword "babychal" by August 27. Easy peasy! And you can win the adorable Little Emma's Insy Winsy Nursery set. It's perfect for card making and scrapbooking! Can't wait to see what you all make!
PS Mia is having a contest over on her blog! Three people will win beautiful new blog banners. Go HERE for details!

Blog Candy and Personal Update
I had to show you all this blog candy. This sweet gal is giving away a $150 gift certificate to the place of your choice if you win. That is beyond generous! You all have to go enter! Details HERE.
And, on a personal note, my mom got the date of my Grandpa's funeral wrong. It's not until next Wednesday. Which is fine other than the fact that I got no sleep last night because I tend to tense up in these situations. Also, I'm going to be bringing the kids with me. Gulp! My Grandpa was a pediatrician and my step dad said that he wouldn't want kids left out. So, thats' what I'll be up to NEXT Wednesday.
Thanks for all the sweet comments for me and my family! You guys are the best! Happy Wednesday everyone!

I've Got a CASE of PMS!
Teehee! Isn't that the best title ever? It's actually the name of the challenge for the Paper Makeup Stamps release party. The challenge is to find a card on the PMS gallery on SCS and CASE it. CASE means (to me) Copy And Share Everything. You can see Lisa's card I CASEd HERE. I changed everything but the layout and the stamp set. The designer paper is Bo Bunny. The stamp is PMS Buggy Sayings. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch, done in vellum, and then coated in Fruit Punch Stickles. The gems are Hero Arts and the ribbon is American Crafts.
This is my post for Wednesday. I have my grandpa's funeral tomorrow morning and as of right now I have no one to watch my kids. Sigh... I probably won't be online much. Hugs!
Sweet Fairy
Our "weekend" is wrapping up. DH has Sunday, Monday, Tuesday off and he works ten hour shifts the rest of the week. Today, I'm cooking up a storm because I really can't cook while I'm by myself with the two kids. This card was made for the Paper Makeup Stamps release party. It was a recipe challenge to use 1 fairy, 2 designer papers, 1 ribbon, and 1 sentiment. Sadly, I don't have any Paper Makeup fairies so I had to go with this image I had. This fairy is from C.C. Designs. Isn't she precious? The sentiment is from Unity. The designer paper is from DCWV.
What do you all think of me going back to a black background for pictures? I like it more than white, I think it makes the colors pop. But I'd love to hear your thoughts! Happy Tuesday! Back to the kitchen for me!

Rise and Shine!
I don't know about you, but I am DRAGGING this morning! My weekend was unproductive. I keep thinking that I can get things done with an infant and Parker keeps proving me wrong. I actually managed to go to Target. I forgot half the things on my list and upon returning home, I didn't take the bags out of the car. Too bad I had bought some frozen blueberries for Brady. :( I have MUSH for brains right now, I tell ya! But enough about me!In honor of how I feel right now, I am showing this Rubber Romance card I made. I made it for no other reason than I felt like making a card. Looks like she is dragging this morning too! :) But she was probably out clubbing all weekend, not nursing a baby. I thought I would try doing bling across the card instead of ribbon, it didn't execute as well as I had envisioned but live and learn. The pink paper is unknown, the brown paper is SU, and the base is Kraft.
Happy Monday everyone!

Mama Needs Some Copics!
I just found out about a blog candy where you can win 72 Copics! Holy moly! Boy, do I need them! I have SIX whole Copics. Five of them were given to me by Tiff and I bought one last time I was at the Paper Garden Boutique. All you have to do to win is link a card that you colored. Easy. Go HERE for details.Alright, I made this card for this week's SCS sketch and ways to use it challenge. The ways to use was pleats. I don't sew, so sad, I know! So, I used a ribbon that was already pleated. The image is Penny Black. Wish me luck as I join the other 600 people to enter for this candy!
Buzz Buzz!
I am just in love with this yellow, black and white color combination right now. I can't seem to go a week without using it. Maybe it's because we watch Bee Movie everyday! :) Probably. So, thank you Brady! This card is for the Limelight sketch and product challenge. The product we were supposed to use is paint. I used Shimmerz Blings in gold on the wings of the bee. I always give wings some sort of treatment since I think they should be translucent and magical looking. The stamp is from Unity's June 09 KOTM. I have no idea what the DP is. The ribbon is from the $1 bin at Michael's. And the bling is Kaiser Craft.
I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday! PS If you live near a Jamba Juice, today is the last day for THIS buy one get one free coupon. Enjoy!

EtsyInspired Challenge #48 ~ Vol25 and a Giveaway
This week's EtsyInspired shop is Vol25 by Jessica Rose. Now, if Jessica Rose's name sounds familiar to you, it's because she is a stamp artist for Unity Stamp Co and Stamping Bella. I think it's really awesome that she also has an Etsy shop to sell her beautiful pieces of art in! It's also really cool to see what SHE does with the amazing illustrations she makes. The Vol25 shop is full of adorable and whimsical artwork. She has this knack of making things that might seem ordinary to some people (like a camper) into something super duper cute. Also, she has quite a way with the phrases and words she uses, they really add to her artwork. She has everything from pretty plants to sweet little animals. The shop offers prints, sets of prints, postcards, cards, embroidery patterns and buttons. She even has FREE embroidery patterns for everyone to use HERE.

This week, Jessica Rose is offering up an 8x10 print of the winner's choice as a prize. How cool is that? All you have to do to play is go to the Vol25 shop and pick a piece to be inspired by. Make any creation that you'd like and post a link to it right here on this blog post to be entered in a random drawing to win. Entries are due by Friday Aug 14 at noon Pacific time. If you upload to SCS or PCP please use keyword EIC48.
Also, since NO ONE won the $25 Paper Makeup gift certificate last week, I'm giving you all one more shot to win. All you have to do is refer a friend that is new to the challenge. When your friend posts their creation link, just have them tell me that you referred them. YOU will then be entered in a drawing to win the $25 gift certificate! Each friend you refer gets you one entry into the drawing! Now, go get your friends EtsyInspired!
This is my creation this week inspired by The Butterflies are Free piece. I used all Unity Stamps for this. If the butterflies look the same, it's because Jessica Rose designed the stamps for Unity. I embossed the Feel The Joy flowers and just cut out the butterflies from the August 08 KOTM.

Random.Babies and EIC47 Winner
But on the bright side, my mom is taking Brady tonight so it will just be me and Parker tomorrow. Hopefully, that will give me a chance to catch up on some house work and SLEEP! I love sleep. I miss sleep.
Anyhow, this week's Random.Brady EtsyInspired challenge winner is SMK! Congrats! You can see her card sets HERE. And since the only person who referred someone to the challenge this week was me. I guess, I win the PMS gift certificate. YAY me!
Wait, I can't win. So, I'm extending the deadline to next week. Get your friends to play tomorrow's challenge and you can win the gift certificate! Woohoo!

HHH: Thank Goodness It's Friday!!
Well, Friday means only one more day of work before Dustin is off for the week. And by that I mean he works Saturday too. But hey, we're getting close and that's all that matters. This week has been a challenge.Speaking of challenges, I made this card for the Clean and Simple challenge on SCS this week. The challenge was to use stitching or faux stitching on your projects. I used faux stitching since I don't know how to sew. The stamp is Unity's 3 Whooligans. So fun, huh?
Happy Friday everyone! Have a good weekend!

CASE-ing With Bella
Well, day one of Dustin going back to work went ok. Brady didn't nap so he was not so fun to be around in the afternoon. Needless to say, I was very excited for Dustin to come home. We'll see how day two goes. Here's a card I made this past weekend for the featured stamper challenge on SCS. HERE is the card I CASEd from Theresa. I changed the colors, stamp set, and the size of the main image. I gave my pretty Balloonabella a sparkly blue dress with Baby Blue Stickles. The designer paper and the ribbon are both Stampin Up.
Alright, off to see if I can catch a few more winks before my big boy wakes up. Happy Thursday everyone!
