Unpacking...and More Unpacking!

That's what I've been up to my eyeballs in as of late. I've just been SO tired too! I think the whole week of the move, I was running on adrenaline and antibiotics and now I've just crashed. I took TWO naps on Sunday. I only do that when I'm really sick. Hopefully, things will get better soon!

I have found a little time to make a couple cards. I really need it because it's my stress relief. This card is made with the iCopic color challenge and this week's sketch from 2Sketches4You. The main image is The Greeting Farm from the Mom & Dad set. I figure "dad" Ian can really be any Ian since it's not like he's preggers. ;) The sentiment is from MFT's Clearly Sentimental. The DP is Basic Grey June Bug. I love that it's a nice manly paper line. :)

Ok, friends! I hope you all have a wonderful day! And I hope I'll have more cards to share eventually.

My Last SFYTT Guest Designer Post

I can't even tell you all what a fabulous time I had as the August guest designer for Jen del Muro's Sketch for You to Try. I could not have been more happy or honored to be have been chosen for this position. It was just a dream come true! The design team was absolutely the sweetest and so super talented and I just adore each and every one of them. It was a wonderful experience and I would do it again in a heart beat. So, thank you Jen for noticing my work and making me the happiest girl on the planet and thank you SFYTT Sisters for being so kind and wonderful to me and making me feel right at home especially when I feel like I'm not even any where NEAR the level of talent that they are on.

Here's my card for this week. I honestly thought this would be the easiest sketch for me but it was the most challenging. I changed up the circles a bit and I'm not sure I should have gone with the smaller ones but what can you do. Also, I packed my camera cord and can't find it so this picture was taken with my iPhone.

The stamp is from Ippity's Now and Always. Just one of my favorite sets. The paper and sticker sentiment are from Echo Park Paper's Life is Good line. I added a giant Kaisercraft rhinestone to the flower that I paper pieced and added dimensionals to. I traced the swirls on the flower with some Fruit Punch Stickles. Then I added some faux stitch to the teal panel.

I'm Alive...Just Barely

Ok, a little more than just barely. We are moved into our new house, but not completely. There are still a few things left at our old house that we need to get which is ok being that we don't have to be out of there until Sept 1. We are still living amongst boxes and more boxes but what can you do? Also, I got Whooping Cough. Oy vey!

And just for fun, I have a card that I made a little while ago. This uses all products from Nikki Silvis's Dan the Record Man. Other than the black card base which is from who knows where.

Have a great day everyone! Hope that you are well!

SFYTT Sponsored by The Greeting Farm!

Hi all! Welcome back to another one of Jen's amazing Sketch For You To Try Saturdays! :D I'm having a blast as the guest designer. I'm a little sick today and we are moving tomorrow so I'm going to *try* to keep this short.

To the left is this week's sketch. Isn't it a fun one? I love the half circle aspect of it! It's so cute! Also, this week, The Greeting Farm is sponsoring SFYTT! YAY! You know how I love my big headed kids! Check out Jen's blog for all the details on what you can win.

So, I took some liberties with this sketch. Jen told me it was ok, I'm glad she didn't fire me! ;) I hope you can still see the sketch, I turned it into an A2 because that's how I roll. Therefore, everything got pushed a bit. This is Anya from The Greeting Farm's scrapbook set called Spotlight Kit. She's soooo cute! The papers are Basic Grey's Kioshi. The punch is Martha Stewart, the pearls are Kaisercraft, and the alpha stickers are from Making Memories.

Now check out the awesome SFYTT Sisters:

Creative Inspirations Paints Summer Time!

Hello everyone! It's my team's turn to do the Creative Inspirations Paint challenge for this week! Kassi challenged us to make a card inspired by summer. How fun is that?

Ok, so I used another one of the Verve anniversary sketches for this card. The image is from a new Ippity set called Quotes Ala Happy. I painted the sun with Pumpkin, Buttercup, and used Sunshine for the rays. The light casted off the sun is Autumn Wheat. The sky is Sky Blue. And the scallops under the sun are painted in Blue Ice. I wish I knew how to blend the paint colors in the sky better. The DP is DCWV and the letter stickers are Making Memories.

Here's a picture to show some of the shimmer. Let me tell you, these paints are AMAZING! They are creamy and smooth and just gorgeous. The BEST paints I've ever tried, hands down! And I'm honestly not just saying this because I'm on the DT.

Ok, head over to the Creative Inspirations Paints blog to see what all the designers came up with for this week's theme. Also, don't forget that if you want to be featured on the blog, all you need to do is leave a link with your work featuring the paints on the Inlinkz! Easy Peasy!

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday! We are BUSY this week! We will be moving this coming Sunday and still have a lot to do to get ready. I'm happy and excited about this move however moving is always hard, no matter how great it's going to be when you get there.

I have a simple card to share with you today. This is one I made with Lawn Fawy's Critters in the Burbs and a little tiny bit of Nikki Silvis paper. It's super clean but I LOVE it! That doggie is soooooo cute and I crack myself up with the sentiment.

Have a wonderful week everyone! And if I'm a little quiet, it's just because all the packing then moving then unpacking. Oy!

Flashback Card

So, my blog pal Amy Tsuruta challenged everyone to post the VERY first card we ever posted on our blogs. Eeeek! That's pretty crazy! So, I'm playing along because WHY NOT? ;) Just to let you know, I thought my card would be WAY worse than this and that's saying something. Not that this card is any good, but there was a point where I was really really bad at card making. Glad that I had the sense not to post that on the internet!

Ok, so this is an invite I made for my friend Tiffany's sister's baby shower, probably almost 3 years ago. Amazingly, everything on this card is actually TOP NOTCH! That's some nice shimmery Bazzil green textured card stock on the turtle punches. The designer paper is DISNEY and it has some nice glitter on the bubbles. Yeeesh! I bought that sentiment stamps and that nice sheer ribbon especially for this project. And I took the picture on the CARPET? What was I thinking?

Anyhow, wasn't that a nice trip down memory lane? I'm pretty happy with how far I've come. :D Happy Monday friends!

Creative Inspirations Blog Hop!!!

Wow! It's the FIRST ever Creative Inspirations Paint blog hop! YAY! You should have arrived here from Barbara's blog, if not please head back to the Creative Inspirations blog to start the hop. Go all the way through, collect the letters and then go back to the Creative Inspirations blog to leave a comment with your clue. Then you'll be entered to win a FABULOUS prize!

Here's my card using 3 of the 4 LIMITED EDITION paints that are being released for the Creative Inspirations Paint anniversary. I used Burgundy, Denim, and Beige on my flowers. Sorry, I tried to take another picture to show the shimmer but my camera died. The DP is Pink Paislee and the ribbon is from Michael's. I added some Liquid Glass to center of the flower, not sure if you can see it. I used one of the Verve anniversary sketched for this card.

Ok, here's my letter for you to collect: N

Ok, next please hop over to Gerrie's blog to continue the hop!

SFYTT and Some Echo Park

****Third post for today, please scroll down for my Jazzy Paper challenge card and then scroll further down for my EtsyInspired post****

I'm back with the second Sketch For You To Try for this month. Woohoo! I'm still not over the fact that I got picked to be the guest designer for this month! Isn't the sketch fun?

Ok, my card is made with some yummy new paper. It's Echo Park's A Walk in the Park line. It's pretty awesome because if you buy the Collection Kit, you get the papers (all double sided), journalling pieces, stickers and alpha stickers. I didn't need anything to make this card other than some card stock. I need to get all the lines. I get mine from Paper Maniac.

Please check out the AMAZING DT for the awesome inspiration they have to show you this week:

Jazzy Paper Designs Inspirations #12

***Second post for today, please scroll down for my EtsyInspired post***

Last time I played along with my friend Tenia's challenge, I was named one of the Jazz Cats of the Week. That means, I get to guest design for this challenge. How cool is that? This photo to the left is our inspiration for this week. Please go to Tenia's blog to check out all the DT and the rules to play along with this challenge.

Alright so I took two different approaches to this week's challenge. I kind of went with the general sketch of this image. I pulled some of the colors too. I get really nervous when my work is going to be featured on someone else's blog. So, bear with me.

Here's my first card. I made this card with MFT Who's the Geek Guy set. Super fun, huh? I love this set for Dustin. The designer paper is DCWV from the Generation Tech stack.
Here's another card I made with an Echo Park craft kit.

EtsyInspired #101 ~ Lover Dovers

This week's EtsyInspired shop is Lover Dovers. Oh my goodness, this shop is super duper cute! I love every single thing that they have in this shop! They make girl's clothing, aprons, bloomers, home decor, doll clothes, and more! I love all the bring, beautiful colors and all the fabulous patterns! There's also some very sweet character themed pieces. I want everything in this shop! But first, I would need a little girl first. Sigh... This week Lover Dovers is giving a Lucy Red and Black apron to one lucky winner!

To play along::
**Go to the Lover Dovers shop and find an item that inspires you.
**Make any creation that you would like (i.e. pages for a scrapbook, altered journal, cards, wall art, etc.) and post a link on the EtsyInspired #101 post on the EtsyInspired blog by Friday, August 20 noon Pacific time.
**Please give credit to the shop/item you found your inspiration from and link back the EtsyInspired.
**If you upload to an online gallery, please use keyword EIC101.

We also have an fun sponsor for you this week! Sassy Studio Designs is offering up 4 digital images of the winner's choice as another prize.

Here's my card for this week. It's inspired by the apron at the top of the post. The paper is Lily Bee Designs. The stamp is from Unity and the sentiment is an SRM Sticker. I used the current Our Creative Corner sketch for this.
And here's the AMAZING DT:

Sorry for being so tardy with my winner for the Lawn Fawn set, it was QUITE a rough day around here. Random.org picked #67. And number 67 is ANGIE BLOM! YAY!!! Congrats, please email me your address and I'll get that shipped to you!
True Random Number Generator 67Powered by RANDOM.ORG

Put on Your Sunglasses!

I hope you are all having a great day! I'm running on empty today as Parker decided 6am would be a fun time to wake up. Then my kids both decided that napping wasn't going to happen this afternoon. Oy!
So, here's a no stamping card I threw together the other day when we were headed to the birthday party. I can't decide if I like it or not. This is paper and chipboard I got at Target. I thought the little animals were cute and my kids have roughly a MILLION friends so I'm always in need of birthday cards. I used Mercy's current sketch for this.

Alright, obviously, my mojo has crashed and burned and I have deadlines coming out my ears so I'll end this now. Hope you all have a great weekend! OOOHHH, and check out my friend Paulina's blog candy HERE!

An SCS Challenge? Amazing!

I used to live to do SCS challenges! I would try to get them done just as soon as they were posted. Sadly, I am just too busy these days to be that committed to them right now. It is amazing when I can get one card done for them, like today.

I really wanted to do the challenge over at the iCopic blog so I pulled out the SCS card sketch for this week and got to work. This stamp is Pretty Hat Anya. Isn't she cute? I love her vintage vibe! I colored her and her pup with Copics. Added gold Stickles to bling up their outfits and paper pieced her dress and hat. The designer paper is all K and Company. The panel behind Anya got a coat of Creative Inspirations Paint in gold for extra shimmer. Ohh, and I pulled out a vintage button in honor of the Club Anya Monday Mania challenge this week.

Have a great rest of your Thurs! I'm having girls night tonight! :D

Challenge Cards Abound!

Hello friends! Hope you had a great Wednesday! I got a little bit of mojo and decided to bust out some challenge cards. I wanted to blog them all since I always forget when challenges end and I don't wanna miss the deadlines.

This first card is for two challenges. One of them is the 7 Kids College Fund challenge and the other is for the Flutter By Challenge. This sweet little girl is Swiss Pixies Gretel. I love her! The paper is Sassafrass. I don't think the colors photographed really well. Also, this was an image I already had that was stamped so I'm not sure what kind of paper it was on but my colors kind of smudged. BUT I spent forever coloring her, so I decided to make a card anyhow. I put some Stickles on her wings and finished with ribbon and bling.

My second card is for 2Sketches4You and Wee Memories (to use a butterfly.) I'm in love with this sketch from Laura, I think it's pretty spectacular and I could use it a lot. The paper is Basic Grey Olivia. This paper is actually really versatile too! It has some super cutesy stuff but I think this card is pretty elegant. I die cut the butterfly with a Provo Craft die and then added Gunmetal Stickles to create the body of the butterfly. The bling is Colorbok and let me tell you, I wish I had bought like 80 of these bling sets, I can't find them anymore and I'm super sad! The sentiment comes from Ippity's Regal Greetings.

My last card is for the Off The Wall Craftiness challenge as well as the current CardPatterns sketch. I made a kid/baby card. I love this little elephant from Unity's Could I Be Any Cuter. :) The papers are Basic Grey Lemonade (I thought they went well with Kim's colors.) The sentiment is an SRM Sticker.

Alright, I hope you all have a great Thursday! :D

CAS Moxie Fab

Hello friends! I hope you had a wonderful Tuesday! This marks the end of our weekend. I didn't do a whole lot today, I wasn't feeling so good. Dustin got a lot of packing done though.

Here's a super clean card for today. I wanted to do another card for Moxie Fab World. I thought that it would be cool to paper piece something with peace sign paper. And what would be better than a little bug? I used Unity's Love Bug stamp set. The paper is Reminisce Unwritten. The string is May Arts. I added some Sakura gelly roll pen to the mirror for a metallic look.

Have a great Wednesday everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

Moxie Fab and Get Sketchy

Hello friends! Hope you all had a wonderful Monday! I did! I spent the day with one of my closest friends and even got a little crafting in. That was super fun!

Here's the card I made while we were crafting. I used the GS#50 sketch over at Get Sketchy. I also incorporated the Moxie Fab World challenge to use peace signs. Let me tell you, I didn't think I could pull this sketch off but I'm pretty happy with the result. The stamp is from Unity's Eco Chic. All the other elements (other than the plain card stock) is Reminisce Unwritten. I put some CTMH Liquid Glass on the Earth for a little something extra.

Hope you all have a great Tues!

Ippity Hop: HEARTS! YAY!

Hello friends! Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! Did you see the Ippity sneak peeks? Don't forget, you can get Ippity from me! :D Just email me if you'd like more info.

Here's my card for today. I'm kind of in love with it. I had it pictured in my mind but it actually looks better than I imagined. That's a VERY VERY rare occurrence for me. I used an EK Success heart punch, which I got when I FIRST started stamping. I did all the punches on the pink side of the paper then alternated every other one to the reverse side so that the small sides of hearts and the tall sides of the heart would match up. The sentiment is from Straight From the Heart. I love this sets, it's one of my faves!

Don't forget to check out the Ippity Blog to see everyone participating in today's hop!

July Published Cards

Hello friends! We had a really rough day yesterday. Brady was being extremely hard on me. He spent three hours screaming and then went on a hitting rampage on me and Parker. It was exhausting. Also, I'm rather ashamed to admit this but we have a mouse in our house. I think it's the construction that's happening down the road but it's in here and I'm freaking out. I have super bad memories of growing up in rodent infested homes and it just reduces me to a puddle of anxiety. So, that's what's going on with me.

Anyhow, I wanted to blog the cards that I had published in the July 2010 issue of Cards Magazine. I really really like these cards, if that's ok for me to say.

This first one uses Unity's Could I Be Any Cuter? I love this set! I colored the tree and some of the leaves. Then I used every single piece of bling in my drawer. Ok, I didn't really but it feels like it right? The paper is all Basic Grey Origins. And I used my trusty corner rounder from EK Success.

Here's the other one. The stamps are a little clear set from EK Success. The paper is Basic Grey June Bug. The buttons are Gina K. I colored the grill with my Copics then added some some Sakura Glaze pen for some dimension. I accented with some Sakura silver gelly roll pen for a metallic look.

Hope you all have a wonderful and RELAXING Sunday! Thanks for stopping by!

SFYTT August Guest Designer!

***Please scroll down for my EtsyInspired post/blog candy***

EEEEEEEEEEEEEK! I've been keeping a secret and let me tell you, I just about exploded! The AMAZINGLY talented Jen del Muro asked me to guest design for her sketches for the month of August!! I saw the email on my phone and since I had just gotten out of bed, I thought for sure my eyes were playing a trick on me! I still cannot believe that I get to be a part of this SPECTACULAR design team for a month! So, friends, stamp your little hearts out because you never know who's looking at your work and when a dream will come true!

So, here's my first official card. I love Jen's sketches, they are so fun and easy to work with! I took this one pretty literally since I'm new. ;) I used Edward from The Greeting Farm for this one. I colored him with my Copics, I had a hard time getting his hair that awesome coppery color that we all know and love. All the designer paper is from the DCWV La Creme stack. The ribbon is recycled off of a package someone sent to me. The chipboard heart is painted with Creative Inspirations Paint in Garnet. The charm is from Artful Inkables.

Here's Jen's amazing sketch that we got to use. She's after my heart with all the hearts and pink she uses on these sketches! Very very much my style! But I think it can be either clean and simple or made with more layering or embellishment. Please play along!

And here's a list of the awe inspiring design team that I get the honor of working along with this month (PS, they are the nicest group of ladies, it's the warmest welcome I've ever gotten from a DT!):

Jen del Muro (link your card here)

EtsyInspired #100 ~ Cathy Walters (Blog Hop, Prizes, and Some Mush From Me)

Holy moly!!!!! It's the 100th EtsyInspired Challenge! I can't believe how far we've come! I need to thankeveryone who plays along because you are all truly what makes it worthwhile. Over the past almost two years, I've had the best design team on the planet. The talent has overwhelmed me! I've made lifelong friends and added a couple dozen aunts for my boys.

Two years ago, I thought that I could take my two passions (stamping and buying handmade/supporting small business) and combine them. Then, something magical happened. I pulled together the highest quality DT, asked some amazing stores if they wanted to be featured and a challenge was born. EIC is and always will be my baby. From it's very conception, I found joy in bringing light to Etsy shops and letting ART inspire ART. Words cannot express how much I love this challenge, my team (past and present), and all the wonderful friends who play along with us. I'm so proud to be "the EtsyInspired girl." :D

Alright, enough jibber jabber! This week's challenge is a little different. We STILL have an amazing shop, sponsors and awesome prizes. However, we also have a blog hop. Each and every one of my DT members has a PRIZE on their blog from one of our amazing sponsors! :) So, be sure to leave them ALL some love b/c every blog has a different prize! Our sponsors for this event are Charleston Scrapbook Company, Lawn Fawn Stamps, Limelight Papercrafts, May Arts, Soft Pencil Digital Designs, and Unity Stamp Co.

Ok, this week's EtsyInspired shop is Cathy Walters. She makes AMAZING pendants that are DOUBLE SIDED! So cool! There are so many amazing designs from nature to travel to quotes and much more! I love them! This week's Cathy Walters is offering up a pendant of the winner's choice as a prize. (Please see the EtsyInspired blog for how to play.)

See this picture? That's over 100 items! That's the GRAND prize for this week! This is all donated from the amazing EtsyInspired DT! I told you they were the best! You MUST play along with the challenge and follow all rules to be entered to win this awesome prize!

Here's my card for this week. It's inspired by the first pendant on this blog post. The stamp is Hero Arts, the paper is Lily Bee Designs, the alpha stickers are MLS, and there are Stickles. :)
And here's the AMAZING DT:

And finally I have a GIVEAWAY!!! My amazing friend Kelly Marie is the owner of Lawn Fawn Stamps and she donated this CUTEST stamp set for me to giveaway. It's called Critters in the Sea and it's a must have! This is one of my favorite sets ever! Please leave a comment about EtsyInspired to be entered to win this set!

Fun Blog Candy

I just found a fun new blog through this blog candy. There's a gal with a blog called A Thousand Sheets of Paper. When she started making cards, she decided to see how long it would take her to cut into a thousand sheets for patterned paper. What a cool concept! I wonder how many sheets of paper I've cut into. Anyhow, she hit her thousand paper mark and now she's having blog candy. Click HERE for details.

Create Banner

Hey everyone! Hope you had a great Monday! I've been pretty busy for the last couple days and I'm still feeling kind of sick. I suppose I should call the doctor, yet again. Oy! It makes me super tired. Anyhow, things will get better, I'm sure.

This is a project I made for the EAD Design team call a little big ago. I didn't make the team, but I thought I'd show you this banner since I think it's pretty cute.

I wish I would have taken more pictures of this. I don't know why I didn't. Anyhow, I made this for my own creative space. And since it is for ME, I decided to make it with all the stuff that I like. I used Basic Grey's Urban Prairie which is my favorite paper. There's tons of bling, butterflies, hearts, and glitter. Black and white ribbon, stick pins, pleats....pretty much everything I love. :)

Here's another picture, taken with different light. Again, I wish I would have taken pictures of each of the pieces separately. I couldn't wait to post pictures though, since I really love this.

Hope you all have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

The Greeting Farm Anniversary Hop

Happy 2nd Anniversary to The Greeting Farm! YAY! If you just stumbled across my blog today, be sure to check out TGF Blog to do that whole hop since there are PRIZES to be won!

I've been a fan of The Greeting Farm since the beginning! Since before it was The Greeting Farm even! The company was called Pink Poison and there were a couple sets and only THREE Anyas back then. Can you even believe that? It's been amazing to watch the company grow! Marie is one SMART cookie and TGF has just taken off and expanded so much! I'm so happy for her! She's an AMAZING person!

Ok, here's my card. I used THIS sketch from Jen Del Muro for this card. This card is made with Mermaid Anya. I think she might be my favorite Anya. I used THIS tutorial from Randi Wall for her hair. The patterned paper is PTI and the bling is from Michael's.

I won't take up any more of your time! Thanks for stopping by today!

Even MORE Bella Blvd

I went to my friend Diane's house the other day to craft. I can't seem to find her blog link to link you. Hmm... Anyhow, I sometimes have a hard time making things when I'm away fromhome. I don't know what I'm doing. I don't have all my stuff. It can be hard. But this time, I was able to pull together a couple simple Bella Blvd card (since I brought all my Bella paper with me.)

So, these cards use Bella Blvd's Man of the House. It's AWESOME for masculine cards! The prints are masculine but still really fun and fresh. Not just your boring manly stuff. For both cards I cut apart some of the Bella Bits and combined them with some fun papers from the line.

I don't bring lots of embellishments with me when I go craft. I either use whatever is offered as a free-for-all or I embellish when I get home. But since these are masculine cards (ish), I decided to leave off all the extras. I did, however, use Di's Cuttlebug for this second card.

How do you craft when you are out places? Are you able to get a lot done? If you feel like leaving a comment or some tips about it, I would really appreciate it!

Have a happy Sunday everyone!
