Mother's Love

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great day! I'm still sick however a couple of hubby's sisters are coming over to take care for the kids for me so I can rest up. I'm hoping that whatever I have is just a cold and goes away soon. There's lots of yucky illnesses going around our town so I'm hoping it's nothing like that!

I have a card today for the Flutter By Wednesday challenge. This week's challenge is an open challenge so you can make any project with a butterfly, angel or fairy on it. I made a vintage-y one layer card. Is that even possible? I have grand visions of this in my head and it didn't turn out how I had planned but I do like the pearls on the butterfly so I thought I'd still share it.

Have a great day everyone!

Card Details:
Cardstock: grey
Stamps: Unity Stamp Co (A Mother's Love), Maya Road (doily border)

TCP and Stamping With Markers

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great day! I'm sick. Again. I don't know how this happens! If anyone knows of a effective and readily available multi-vitamin, please let me know! I clearly need it!

I am finally getting around to sharing a card I made SOOO long ago! I get so tired, I just don't blog as much as I usually do anymore. Here's a card I made using The Cat's Pajamas Tuesday challenge 144 which was a sketch. I love these images! I'm also entering this card in Moxie Fab World's Stamping With Markers challenge. So, this isn't an inventive way to use markers but I took a lot of care when coloring my image so maybe that counts for something.

Have a wonderful day friends! And STAY HEALTHY!!

Maniac Monday Card

Here's the card I posted on the Paper Manic blog yesterday.
Here's a fun card I made with all elements from Echo Park's Little Boy collection pack. I love collection packs! I've said it before and I'll say it again, they just have everything you need in them!

Lawnscaping Challenge 4

Hi friends! I hope had a wonderful weekend! We had a busy Saturday and then just had a lazy Sunday. However, hubby has today off too and I hope you all have it off for President's Day! Woohoo for a 3 Day weekend! (We actually always have them but it's nice when our friends have them too!)

How about starting off the week right with a new Lawnscaping challenge? Doesn't that sounds awesome? Not only that but it's one of my very favorite things to do, Paper Piecing! Woohoo! I love this challenge and Lawn Fawn stamps are really fun to paper piece! I can't wait to see what you all make!!

There are TWO awesome prizes for this next challenge!! The first is Lawn Fawn's Fly Free set and the other is to be our guest designer for the next challenge! How cool is that? I love it!

Here's my take on this challenge. I had yet to ink up my Judy's Blooms so I decided to take this as a chance to do so. I love this big flower! Paper piecing flowers is actually my favorite since I get a little lost coloring them. I used this week's GetSketchy sketch for this card or at least I tried. ;)

All Things Unity: Alter It!

Hi friends! I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend! We are doing really well over here! YAY! I love it!

Today, I have a new All Things Unity challenge for you! It's a super fun one too! It's "Alter It." You can alter anything you want ie frames, journals, etc... All you have to do is alter an item using Unity or Ippity stamps.

There's a huge prize this month! It's a 2011 February KOTM! Woohoo! I wish I could win! That's a fabulous prize! So, be sure to link up your creations on the All Things Unity blog!!

Here's my project for this week. I actually already bought this frame before I knew about this challenge because I was gonna alter it for the Unity Co-Brand challenge but I didn't get around to it. I think I might want to make it a little more decorative but I'm not sure. I had a vision of making a frame for my boys with some Echo Park Little Boy. How perfect are these stamps and this paper?! Seriously, even the colors matched the kids's shirts.

Be sure to check out the DT to see what they made too!

Project Details:
Frame: Target $1 Spot
Patterned Paper/Sticker: Echo Park Little Boy
Misc: May Arts orange ribbon, red polka dot ribbon, Marvy Markers

EtsyInspired #127 ~ Claylicious

This week's EtsyInspired shop is Claylicious. This darling shop offers functional and decorative pottery. There are so many items to choose from in this shop! They have everything from decorative owls to functional ceramic trays. My personal favorites are the fun cups and plates with little aminated characters on them. There are monsters (big in my house right now!), birds, trees and more. And there's a variety of different style items to suit anyone on your list. This week, Claylicious is giving a super cute Ceramic Owl Desk Buddy to a lucky winner. And they were kind enough to offer a 10% off discount for all our readers using discount code "Inspired".

We also have a fun sponsor this week, Your Next Stamp! I love this Canadian based stamp company! They have the cutest stamps in such darling designs! I got to see their new releases at CHA and they are SO super cute! I actually got my order of their new releases earlier this week! Your Next Stamp is offering up a $10 gift voucher for a lucky player this week!

Here's my card for this week inspired by the cups above. Like I said, mosters are HUGE in my house right now! The kids LOVE them! I made this card using this week's Card Position Systems sketch.

Smile!

Hi friends! Hope you are all having a great day! My week is getting off to a rocky start but I'm hoping things will get better soon.

Here's a card I made a while ago but haven't gotten around to posting. It was for a Paper Craft sketch call but wasn't accepted. This is a pretty fast card, I made it using Echo Park paper and a Unity's Everyday Adorable.

Have a great day everyone!

Kids Valentines

Here's my post from the Paper Maniac Blog yesterday!

First up, we have Brady's Valentines. He specifically asked for a monster so I went ahead and made some lollipop covers for him to hand out. Here's a picture that shows the monster on the front and the sentiment on the back. I used a stamp set from Hero Arts to make this. The patterned paper is My Mind's Eye Love Me Do. I added a googly eye and colored his ears, hands and feet with the BG05 Copic marker. I pieced the hole for the lollipop with my Making Memories Paper Piercer.
Next up are Parker's Valentines. I'm gonna be honest, I ran out of steam on these! I wanted to make something cute but my mind just isn't working. I'm super tired today. So, I took some small regular mailing envelopes and decorated them. I put chocolate kisses in them and sealed them up. The stamps are Unity Stamp Co Wishes and Kisses and I just added a little Stickles to the roses. It was SO remarkably fast to make 20 of these!
Have a great day everyone!

FWF: Just Be You

Hi friends! I hope you are all having a good week! We are doing ok. I'm just really really tired! I have an appointment with the sleep clinic on Feb 24 so hopefully after that I'll be feeling better. Well, just more energy at least!

Here's a card I made for a call that was not picked up. I do love it though. I questioned it for a little bit but I've gone back to loving it. :) For this card, I used a Scrapbook Royalty kit called Just Be You. I love that part of the proceeds of these kits go to charity! That's really important to me! And they are designed by the lovely Melody Ross so you really can't go wrong there. When I saw the shape of this scalloped circle paper I just KNEW what the layout would look like! This might become a go-to sketch for me since I do have a few circular sheets of paper.

Have a great weekend everyone! Be sure to check out the Unity Blog for a list of everyone participating in today's blog hop. Also, be sure to check out the clearance section of Paper Maniac, there's some fabulous Unity on sale! Paper Maniac also got in some brand new Unity Stamps that just released as well!

Card Stock: white
Patterned Paper: Making Memories Flutter
Stamps: Unity and Scrapbook Royalty Just Be You
Misc: Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Stickles, Nesties Label 13

My friend Diane and I were talking about ATC trays and whatnot today and I mentioned to her that I had recently made one. Well, I guess I didn't blog it because she had no idea what I was talking about. But it's not too late! ;)

I made this tray for the Unity Co-Brand challenge from last month. I decided to use Unity and Bella Blvd. I made this tray featuring the house we just moved into and some pictures of our family that were taken here. It's my first tray but I'm pretty happy with it.

All Things Unity #24

Hi friends! I'm super excited to be back at All Things Unity for the month of February! How awesome is that? I'm really excited to be working with this DT!

The challenge for this time is to use your favorite Unity or Ippity Stamps to make a card or project. How fun is that?! I love all the stamps so it was hard to pick! I decided to use a super fun new (to me) set from Unity/Melody Ross called Domestic Bliss. I actually have tons of favorite stamps so I can't really say this is my only favorite! It would be like picking a favorite kid!

So, here's my card that I paired with some fun Melissa Frances Kitschy Kitchen papers. I added some hand dyed seam binding. I stamped the cake on a Nesties Label 8. I also used a corner rounder and a Martha Stewart border punch for this card.
Check out the DT:

And stop by the ALL THINGS UNITY BLOG to link up your creation and see details about the fun prize!

Fun News!

Super quick post to let you know that I'm BACK for the month of February as the guest designer for All Things Unity. I was a DT member last year but with all I had going on, I couldn't keep up. But I was lucky enough to get to come to for a month! YAY!!!

I'm BACK!!

Oh my goodness! CHA is awesome and I have a lot to share with you! What do you think about me doing a CHA week for the next week on my blog? Would that be boring? I would tell you about my favorite finds, my favorite moments, things that are new to me, etc... Leave a comment and let me know. I don't wanna bore people!

Here's one of my favorite pictures from CHA. It's actually from Susan Opel's camera, I kind of stole it off Facebook but I think it's ok since I'm in it. There's so much talent in this one photo that I'm surprised that the world didn't explode!
