Another Post!

I know, I'm super creative with my blog titles! Teehee! I misunderstood one of the rules over at the PaperWorks Co Blog and I've decided to blog this card now. I thought you had to make two cards to enter, but that's with the sketches only, I think. Don't take my word on it though. It's late and I'm kind of tired and my vision is slightly blurry.

So, here's a card I made for a couple challenges. First, I made it for the PWCO recipe #3 which was 3 Cs: Cute, Critter, and Colors of your choice. I decided to use a cute critter and found PJ. After which, I figured out there there was a fun sketch over on TCP blog, challenge 165. I combined my CUTE image with some pretty My Mind's Eye paper (Stella and Rose Gertie) and an SRM Sticker.
Ok, I have GOT to go to bed! Night friends! :D

A Few PWCO Challenge Cards

Hi friends! Hope you are all having a great week so far! Not much to report over here. I'm looking forward to the long weekend.

I just wanted to blog a couple cards I made with the sketches of at the PaperWorks Co Blog before time ran out. I've been so behind lately, I feel like I'm always blogging things a day or two late so I'm just gonna put these up before I forget!

My first card is based on PWCO #86. I decided on some Lawn Fawn stamps and some Echo Park paper.
For my second card I used the PWCO sketch 85. I used some Basic Grey Wander paper for this with an SRM Sticker. I made this for our friend Vince who is currently in the hospital after being hit by an intoxicated driver. It's been a couple weeks and he's finally getting to the point where he can have visitors. If you'd like to add him to your prays, that would be appreciated. He served several tours in Iraq and Afghanistan with the Army and was a policeman before going into the Army to serve our country.
Have a great day everyone!

Stamp It 8

Hi friends! Hope you are doing well today! Half way through the work week! I can't wait for the long weekend, can you? :) Well, assuming you get a long weekend. Honestly, hubby only has a regular weekend since his schedule is wonky this week but we'll make the best of it. My mom is coming to hang out with the kids so that will be nice for everyone.

Yesterday, Stamp It 8 came out. You can buy it HERE. This is a really cool issue! It's all cards, as the cover shows. It's just jam packed with awesome ideas and gorgeous projects from a bunch of awesome designers. I'm lucky enough to have two projects in this special issue.

Here is one of the cards that I have in this issue. For details on the products and instructions on how to make this, please see page 36.

Have a great day everyone!

Bundle of Bunny Joy

Hi friends! I'm have NO idea what's going on this week! I keep forgetting what day of the week it is! And due to the weather and the fact that I saw a Valentine's stamp being released, I thought it was February yesterday. Sigh... Anyone else have weeks like this? I hope I'm not just crazy!

Here's a fun card I threw together with some Cosmo Cricket Togetherness papers and chipboard. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Plus One set. I love having a baby set that really suits me! :) The ribbon is just plain seam binding that I didn't do anything with. Imagine that, right? I used it just as is!

Have a great day everyone!

Sew Proud

Hi friends! Happy Monday! (Is Monday really ever happy?) The kids are back and they are well. They had a great weekend and so did we. :) The only bad thing about having a completely relaxing weekend is that I didn't really run any errands so I need to grocery shop and things like that this week.

Here's a card I made for the Gallery Idol contest. Keep your fingers crossed for me! I'm gonna need all the luck I can get! Here's a card I made for someone who sews. I used Unity/Melody Ross Domestic Bliss for this. And I used GCD paper designed by Melody Ross called Homespun Chic. I added some seam binding that I dyed myself and spelled out the sentiment with alphabet stickers.

Have a great day everyone!

YAY!

Hi friends! Hope you are having a great weekend! We are RELAXING here. Let me tell you, I am SO relaxed without the kids here. I haven't been able to sleep in but it's nice not to have to take care of anyone, you know since Dustin can take care of himself. :) We have been going out AT NIGHT, we saw a movie, and we just hung out.

Here's a card I made for either a smaller child's graduation or a swim class graduation. I love this cute little octopus from Lawn Fawn's Critters in the Sea! I paired it with some Echo Park Splash. I added some Stickles to the tassel because I love sparkles. :)

Have a great weekend!

Congratulations Butterfly

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great weekend! My kidlets are away for the weekend and we are having a relaxing time. Well, it doesn't really matter what we do, it's going to be quiet and that will be relaxing in itself.

Here's a card I made for PC's Gallery Idol competition. I decided to do a little shabby chic card. I'm kind of in love with this Pink Paislee paper, Butterfly Garden. The stamp is from Flourishes. They are awesome for vintage stuff!

Have a great weekend everyone!

FWF: Pirate Loot

Hi friends! Hope you are having a great day! I'm rather glad it's the weekend! YAY!

Here's another project I made for the kids's birthday party. Honestly, I really wanted to get a picture of these bags before they got opened but I was so busy at the party, I just didn't get a chance. I asked someone else to take a picture of them but the picture was blurry. I'm pretty sad. But here's one that was already opened. I tried to put it back as best I could. I used Unity's Pirate Madness set for this. I spelled the rest of the sentiment out in stickers. The bag is a Bigger Bitty Bag from Whisker Graphics.

Don't forget to check out the Unity Blog to see everyone participating in this week's hop. Leave comments everywhere you go, there's candy hidden! Have a great weekend friends!

FREE Printable and a Giveaway!

Hi friends! I hope you are all having a good day! I'm feeling MUCH better! I cancelled my doctor's appointment for today. I took some OTC medicine and I'm feeling like my normal self. YAY!

Today, I have a couple projects to share with you that I made as samples for the Whisker Graphics Blog. Whitney is constantly offering free printables over there! If you love free printables and who doesn't, I strongly recommend that you follow the blog! Right now, there's a FREE Fourth of July printable.

As you can see, my first project is a banner. I used the fan fold flower technique under the scalloped circle printables. The patterned paper is Echo Park from the Little Boy line. The banner bases have actually been dry embossed with a Quick Kutz polka dot folder. Then I put the pieces together on some Airmail Divine Twine (quite possibly my favorite Divine Twine, at least in my top 3) and hung it up.

My next project is just some super simple cupcake picks. I just punched the printables out with my scalloped circle punch and adhered them to toothpicks. Viola! These are red velvet cupcakes that were made for Brady's birthday which was last Saturday. :) He thought RED chocolate was pretty spiffy! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the joy and wonderment of kids!

I almost forgot to tell you about the giveaway! First up, yesterday I told you about the BLOG GIVEAWAY on the WG Blog. Well, right now there's also a Facebook giveaway. You just have to like the Whisker Graphics Facebook page and then comment on THIS picture. Easy peasy! That giveaway is for 50 yards of Divine Twine! :)

Have a great day everyone!!

Bunny Love and a Giveaway

Hi friends! I hope you are doing well! I'm ok. I'm going to the doctor on Thurs. Not too excited about that but hopeful for some relief. Other than that, there's not much going on here.

Here's a card I made for a SCS Clean and Simple challenge that was posted a couple weeks ago. You know, there was a time when I didn't have enough stuff to blog in a week and now I have so much to blog, photograph, upload, submit, etc... I just went with a really simple and sweet card for this challenge. The challenge was to use a pun on your card. I used Lawn Fawn's My Silly Valentine set for this card. Lots of puns in that set! The paper is Cosmo Cricket Pixilicious. The twine is Divine Twine Purple Plum.

Speaking of Divine Twine, did you see the Divine Twine giveaway on the Whisker Graphics Blog? There will be SEVEN winners and it's really simple to enter so give that a shot!

Have a great day everyone!

Ribbon Carousel Challenge 8: Coloring

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! I'm feeling a little under the weather. I'm not sure what exactly it is, maybe something I ate or this new medicine I'm on but I feel icky. Hope YOU are feeling better than me! :)

This week, I'm hostessing the challenge for the Ribbon Carousel Challenge. I picked using coloring mediums as the challenge. Ok, MISTAKE!!! I think I'm the only designed in this group that hasn't taken any Copic classes. So, just bear with me and my self taught coloring!

Here's my card for this week. I combined it with the Stamping Bella sketch challenge for this week. I wish I had adjusted the proportions of the sketch just a little so that there isn't so much open space on the bottom but what can you do? For this card I used some red seam binding to create the stripes behind the image panel and I used some white seam binding that I sprayed with a little glimmer mist for the bow. The image is Stamping Bella and the paper is Cosmo Cricket. And I promise I don't always make mermaid cards and use this paper. ;)

Be sure to hop on over to the Ribbon Carousel Challenge blog to see all the awesome DT samples and to link up your creation! All you have to do is use your favorite coloring medium and some sort of ribbon/twine/lace/trim/etc... on your card. Easy peasy! Link it up for your chance to be Top Spool!

Have a great day, everyone!

Lawnscaping Challenge 12

Hi friends! Hope you had a great weekend! We've been busy here with all the birthdays and holidays and I'm ready for a BREAK! I'm hoping this week is a relaxing one. We don't really have any plans so it's looking good.

It's now the third Monday of June and that means it's time for a Lawnscaping challenge! This time, we have a fun sketch from Jennifer Rzasa who will be playing along with us! I love sketches so this one is a super fun challenge for me! Hop on over to the Lawnscaping Challenge Blog to check out all the details on the challenge, the rules, and to link up your creation.

For this challenge, our sponsor is Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker which is a wonderful company that makes paper with coordinating stamps and embellishments. Nikki will be giving away a prize pack to a winner AND the winner gets to guest design for Lawnscaping Challenges!

Here's my card for this challenge. I got to use Nikki Sivils We Are Family paper. I paired it with Lawn Fawn's Just My Type.
Check out the DT:

Fast and Fabulous...Or Not

Hi friends! Happy Father's Day to any Dads out there who read my blog (which I'm pretty sure there are NONE!) Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Today, I'm sharing a few cards I made for the last Cards Magazine call for Fast and Fabulous cards but these babies were rejected. What can you do? I have SO many cards to blog that I'm just going to start putting up a couple a day!

Here's a fun little congrats card for a swimming class or for anything a little person might accomplish. The main image is Unity, sentiment is Paper Smooches and the paper is Cosmo Cricket.
Here's a card made completely of Cosmo Cricket and a tiny bit of string.
Here's a Basic Grey card. I love the layout on this one and I'm super bummed it was rejected.
Have a great day everyone!

EtsyInspired #141 ~ Homes and Weddings

This week's EtsyInspired challenge will be the last one. You can read my three paragraph explanation on the EtsyInspired blog but this is just going to be my regular post. I can't say goodbye twine.

This week's EtsyInspired shop is Home and Weddings. They create beautiful wire creations to display all sorts of things for your home and weddings. They come in all different shapes and colors. They also make jewelry, wine charms, bouquet accessories, etc... This week, Home and Weddings is offering up a Copper Business Card holder .

This week, our prize is a mystery gift bag of items from past sponsors. You have two weeks to complete the challenge, please link your creation by July 1 at 11:59pm. For old time sake, I think Random.Brady will draw the winner.

Here's my card based on the picture above. I went with the heart theme. I used the Card Positioning Systems sketch for this week for my card. The image is from Unity and the paper is Basic Grey. And the trim is from my friend Martha's Etsy shop, Creating is Fun.

Ashley, this giveaway is terrific! Your card is just as terrific. I ♥ I ♥ Papers, and visit it almost every day to drool over all their goodies! My wishlist there grows every time, too. My favorite item changes just as frequently. If I absolutely had to pick one item to have as a fave, today's is Unity Stamp's You & Me set of stamps. Might change the next time! Then again, all the Mint Motifs are great. I use them often. Hmmmmmmmmm.

FWF: RRRR! It's a Pirate Ship!

Hi friends! I almost forgot it was FWF Friday and I need to link up my Unity creations! So, here is a sneak peek of the pirate party we had last weekend. I am still in the midst of adjusting all the photos but I will post an overview later.

Ok, so here we have a watermelon pirate ship with Unity Pirate Madness sails! I can't take too much credit for this. I found the idea for this ship online while going through Pinterest. And who says Pinterest is a bad thing?! Dustin actually carved the watermelon and used chopsticks and bamboo skewers to make the wooden pieces. I really only made the sails and the fruit salad. And I didn't buy nearly enough Swedish Fish to surround this. Oh well. Live and learn. This ship was a HUGE hit!

Ok friends! Don't forget to check out the Unity Blog to see everyone participating in today's hop. And leave comments EVERYWHERE because who knows where the blog candy is hidden? Happy Friday!

My Little Artists! :D

Hi friends! HAPPY FRIDAY!!! YAY!!! I went and picked up my new medicine yesterday and I'm hoping that it will work better than the last one. Tomorrow is Brady's birthday. :) We told him that we would take him to see Kung Fu Panda 2 and this will be Parker's first movie. Should be a very exciting weekend!

I've been holding on to these darling pictures for a while now. A couple months ago, my good friend Maigan had an art contest on her blog. She had several categories and since she's such a sweetie, BOTH my kids and the one other child who entered won. So, they entered their first contest and they won. Honestly, I didn't really want the kids to win or lose or anything but Maigan said each child would get a certificate of completion and I thought that would be great for them.

Needless to say, I'm beyond proud of these coloring sheets and I think they are the BEE'S KNEES! :D

This is Parker's
And obviously, this is Brady's (his real name is Brayden)

Happy weekend everyone! I *might* be back later with a creation but I will definitely be drawing a winner for my blog candy once the kids wake up and can draw a name for me.

GCD Feature

Hi friends! I hope you are having a good day! Today, I need to go pick up my new medicine and then start working up to taking the right dose. Boy, this is NOT fun at all! But it's just migraines and it's certainly not the worse ailment I could have so it's a-okay!

Ok, last month I was featured on the GCD Studios blog and I never shared the projects I made for that. You can see my feature HERE. I got to work with the Material Girl paper. Here are the projects I made:

Wilson Wednesday

Hi friends! I'm back again. I totally forgot that I was going to post a Wilson Designs Stamps card every Wednesday on my blog while I'm guest designing for them. Kim doesn't require this but I thought it would be fun, plus the stamps are so cute!

Here's my card for this week. I'm a bit slow on joining the mustache trend. I know, where have I been? I love this super cute Simply Silhouettes set! I decided to make a clean and simple card that can be used for almost any occasion. The patterned paper is from Imaginsce.

Have a great rest of the day!

Gamer Birthday

Hi friends! I hope you are having a good day! I have an update on my health. After 3 days of blurry vision, my doctor has decided to switch my medication. So, I'm waiting for him to call it in. Joy. But other than that, we are fine.

Today, I'm FINALLY posting the card I made for Dustin for his birthday. In case you didn't know, Dustin is a gamer. He plays on his computer, Xbox and Wii and the occasional DS game. When I saw this stamp set from Papertrey Ink, I had to get it! It was only $5 too! Also, I had to track down with DCWV stack called Generation Tech. Seriously. It's like these things were made for me to use! ;) The card is rather clean, Dustin prefers a clean card. I added a little Whisker Graphics Divine Twine too.

Have a great day, everyone!

Sad Little Reject Card

Hi friends! I'm about to fall over with exhaustion! I've been working non-stop on the kids's birthday party for the last few days. I'm hoping it goes well and everyone has a good time. :) Wish us luck, it's in the morning!

Sigh...here's a card I've been holding onto for a couple months that I KEEP submitting to magazines but it's been rejected every time. I'm sorry, little card, but I'm giving up hope on you and just sending you out into blog land. This card was made with Hero Arts stamps. I paper pieced each one of those flower petals with some Basic Grey Hello, Luscious. I just LOVE this card but I guess I'm alone in that. :( Oh well, moving on!

I'm sharing a card today that I made for Gallery Idol. I'm using some of my favorite stamps from Mint Motif available only at I {Heart} Papers. I love these stamp sets for building cards! I don't usually do a lot of two step stamping but this set is so fun! For this card, I used Cake Shoppe and Cake Shoppe Too! Did you know that these stamps are designed by my pal Kimberly Crawford? She's SO talented! The paper is Little Yellow Bicycle. I used my Nesties to cut a circle and then I added some Stickles to the edge. I punched the border with a Fiskars punch and added some ribbon.

Ok, how for the FUN part! I have duplicates of both these sets and I'm giving them away here on my blog today! Woohoo!

Pirate Invite and We NEED Votes!

Hi friends! I hope you are all having a great day! We started this morning with breakfast at McD's and Brady made a new friend. We picked up a few last minute things for the kids's pirate party this weekend, too. I'm exhausted and it's only lunch time! Gah!

Today, I've decided to share the birthday invite that we made for the boys's birthday. I took the picture in our backyard and Dustin Photoshoped the kids onto this old ship. Really, he made the whole invite, I just took the picture and bought the outfits. Isn't it cute?!

Speaking of how cute my kids are, I entered them into a Cute Kids contest. The winner gets a photo shoot, a CD and a nice canvas for their house. If you are on Facebook, I would REALLY appreciate a vote! You have to "like" Lorraine Murphy Photography on Facebook and then "like" THIS PICTURE of Brady and Parker. You can vote more than once, so if you have other friends in this contest you can vote for both of us! :D

Have a great day everyone!

Ribbon Carousel Challenge 6: Sketch

Hi friends! I hope you are all having a great week so far! I'm all thrown off schedule because for this month, hubby's work schedule is different. I keep telling the kids we can go do things that actually happen the following day like story time. Whoops!

It's time for another Ribbon Carousel Challenge! YAY! This time, the lovely Danielle Lounds gave us a sketch to work with. I love sketches! For me, it's the hardest part of making a card. I struggle with layouts constantly.

To play along, just follow the sketch and make sure you have some sort of ribbon, twine, trim, or something that comes on a spool on your creation. Link it up to the Ribbon Carousel Challenge post for challenge #6 by June 13 at 11:59pm to be entered. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Here's the card I made for this challenge. I decided to combine this challenge with The Greeting Farm's Royal Challenge. This week, the theme was fairy tale. I think you can tell where my inspiration came from, The Little Mermaid. Of course, my Mermaid Anya had to be inked up for this challenge. She's probably my most used TGF stamp. :) PS This seam binding was hand dyed and given to me by Savannah. I was on Skype with her one night and she said that it was too dark and she'd never use it. Then, lo and behold, here it is!

Have a great day everyone! Don't forget to go to the Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog and check out all the other DT members!
