EVERYONE Should do Swagbucks!

***For my Whisker Graphics giveaway, CLICK HERE***

Search & Win

Ok, it's no secret that I've been couponing a lot lately. I've been trying to save money so that I don't have to go back to work. With paying for Brady's school tuition, things have gotten REALLY tight. One of the things I've learned about while couponing is Swagbucks!

With Swagbucks, all you have to do is sign up for an account and use the Swagbucks search engine and you can win Swagbucks. You save your Swagbucks up and redeem them for rewards. I, personally, save up for Amazon Gift Cards. This is how I'm going to help offset the cost of Christmas this year. Since I've joined in April, I've gotten about $75 in gift cards. Just for searching the internet!

Other ways to get Swagbucks:
~Watch their videos
~Take their daily polls
~Look at their No Obligation Special Offers (I just skip them all to get my Swagbucks)
~Follow them on Twitter or Facebook where they give out codes
~Read their blog, some posts have codes

You can do as much or as little as you want. But HONESTLY, I get the majority of mine from using the search engine. I type EVERYTHING into the search engine. Set Swagbucks as your home page and just type things in there IE Blogger, Facebook, Gmail, etc...

If you are NEW, here's a HUGE BONUS! In addition to the 30 Swagbucks that you normally get for signing up, you can use the code BIGTIMEBUCKS for 70 Swagbucks!! This code will only be valid until Monday at 11:59 PDT. That is a GREAT start to Swagbucks!

If you sign up, please use my referral link: http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/HeartHugs

Also, on Monday they are having an event called Swag Code Extravaganza and they'll be giving out 7 codes throughout the day. Perfect time to join!

Ribbon Carousel is Sponsoring CAS-ual Fridays

***For my Whisker Graphics giveaway, CLICK HERE***

Hi friends! I hope you had a wonderful week! We are doing pretty good around here. Doing lots of things to build up the good kharma and teach our kids about kindness. I guess that alone makes this week pretty awesome. :)

This week, Ribbon Carousel is sponsoring the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge. This week's challenge is to use ribbon loops or ribbon tabs on your clean and simple card. The winner of this week's challenge will win October's Ribbon Club Kit.

Here's my card for this week's challenge. I used some Natural Loop Edged ribbon for my card. See?! LOOPED ribbon to make a ribbon tab? I'm clever! ;) I am combining this with a few other challenges: Less is More 34, Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes, and Unity's Friends With Flair blog hop. For this card I used Unity's On the Bright Side and Cosmo Crickets Odds and Ends.
Be sure to check out the Unity Blog to see everyone participating on the hop today. Leave comments along the way because there's blog candy hidden somewhere in the hop!

Boo!

***For my Whisker Graphics giveaway, CLICK HERE***

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great week! I'm doing a quick run by posting since I want to get this card submitted into a challenge.
I made this card for this week's Card Patterns sketch 134. I used a super adorable Your Next Stamp stamp called Cute Ghost. How cute is this little guy for Halloween? I used some Cosmo Cricket Mathilda paper and some Cosmo Tiny Type stickers for this. I finished off with a border punch and purple Stickles.

Have a great night!

Miss You

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great day! This week is kind of dragging by if you ask me. I can't wait for the weekend!
Here's a card I made for a couple challenges. First, the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge for Sept-Oct. I was inspired again by the colors and the lovely feel of this photo. Next is the Flutterby Wednesday challenge 173, to use a butterfly on your card. And finally the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge. I used my Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler on this card. The paper is Crate Paper Random and I added some pearls and Black Licorice Divine Twine to this.

Have a great day, friends!

Love My Tapes Headband and Card

***For my Whisker Graphics giveaway, CLICK HERE.***
**For my Your Next Stamp post, scroll down**

Hi friends! I hope you are having a fabulous day! We are making it. :) The kids are a wee bit crazy today. But we have their auntie coming to visit and have dinner later so they will be THRILLED!

Here's a project that I blogged on the Love My Tapes blog today.

All I did was take a plain headband and wrap it in some Baylee Fabric Tape. This was really simple to do. It didn't take too much tape, you could probably make 5-6 headbands from one roll of tape! The flower is from Hair Doodles. I have tons of flowers from there and now I can make cute headbands to match!
While I was getting crafty, I decided to pull together a fun little card inspired by the Hero Art sketch on Lily Pad Cards. This sketch just BEGS for some Love My Tapes Lace Tape. I used the light pink, lime and 17mm beige tapes for this. I made the big flower with a Cosmo Cricket Gluber and Pink Satin Pleated Ribbon from Ribbon Carousel. Speaking of Ribbon Carousel, this card fits in perfectly with the current challenge RCC22 alter your ribbon. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Have a great day friends!

YNS Sketch Challenge

***For my Whisker Graphics giveaway, please CLICK HERE***

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! I'm doing ok. I'm ready for the weekend already. But I guess that's just how it goes.

Sadly, my guest designing for Your Next Stamp is coming to an end as October is approaching. I've been so honored to have the opportunity to design for Karen's company. The team is just as talented as they are kind and I'm sad that my month is almost up with this amazing team.
Here's my card based on the new sketch challenge, challenge #52. This is a super fun sketch! I will use it over and over again. I used the Tulip stamp. Did you know YNS has all different types of stamps? I LOVE all their cutesy designs with the adorable kids but sometimes you feel like a pretty flower or an elegant bird and they have those stamps for you too! I colored this image with my Copics. I'm also entering this in the Wee Memories challenge #69 to use patterned paper. I used some Basic Grey Indie Bloom paper for this card.

Head on over to the Your Next Stamp Blog to check out all the inspiration from the awesome design team and to link up your creation! Have a great day!

Easy Canvas Prints Review

***For my Whisker Graphics giveaway CLICK HERE***

A little while ago, Easy Canvas Prints contacted me to do a review of their canvas prints. I absolutely adore having photos of my kids around the house so I jumped on the opportunity to do this review! I choose a 16x20 print to review.

I was given a canvas in return for an HONEST review and an ad on my blog.

I received my canvas and was absolutely delighted to see my picture! The quality is superb. I choose the mirror wrap option which looks great on the wall because when you look at it from the side, you can still see color. Because of this, you don't need to frame your canvas. The colors are bright and vivid. I have a few canvases around my house and I love that this one doesn't have any glaze painted on it. It really lets the picture shine through. This photo was taken by my friend Amy at Amy Leigh Photography.

I love my Easy Canvas Print and I would recommend them to anyone! I would order from them again. You can also try to win a canvas by liking the Easy Canvas Prints Facebook Page, they have a lot of contests on there.

RCC 22- Alter It

***For my Whisker Graphics giveaway, scroll down or CLICK HERE***

Hi friends! I hope your week is starting off nicely! Ours is going well! We are having some cooler weather which is SO welcome here! I can't wait until it's actually fall weather here, I'm done with the heat.

This week's Ribbon Carousel Challenge is Alter It. All you have to do it is alter your spool item so that it doesn't just look like ribbon anymore. For example: make a flower, an animal or some sort of shape with your ribbon! Get creative and have fun!

This week's sponsor is Cosmo Cricket! Not only does Cosmo Cricket make fabulous papers but they also have Glubers which are ribbon's best friend! With Glubers, it's SO simple to make your own embellishments! This week, the winner will get some awesome Glubers and an UPcycle crafting kit!

Here's my card for this week. The Ribbon Carousel Crew got to work with some awesome Glubers. I made a flower for my spool element using some Plum Satin Grosgrain Double Band Ribbon. I used some MME paper for this along with a Lawn Fawn sentiment from Sophie's Sentiments. I added some bling and pearls to dress it up. I also used the One Crazy Stamper Sept sketch for this card.

Be sure to check out the Ribbon Carousel Challenge blog for all the Crew's awesome creations and to link up your creation!

Here's a layout I made over this weekend. It's of Brady's first day of school. I made this for the GCD Sept KOTM contest. I used some Elementary My Dear by GCD Studios. I used some Brown Sugar Divine Twine for this. I journaled around the edge of the layout and the title is added with some Thickers.

For Better or Worse

Hi friends! I hope you had a great weekend! I had a BLAST! I had a sleepover with several of my favorite crafty girls (Marie, Gina, and Kristi.) We crafted, ate, drank, chatted and laughed a lot. It was AWESOME! And then today my family and I went to a BBQ at my friend's house. It was super fun!
Here's a layout I made over my fun craft weekend! I made this for the Simon Says Stamp challenge to use punches or dies on your project. I used some pictures of Marie and I from a crop at Art Inspired Studios a couple weeks ago. Marie was kind enough to allow me to use some of her fabulous American Crafts Peachy Keen. I used 3 Martha Stewart punches on this layout. I also used Oyster Divine Twine on this. I also used Thickers, Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type letters, pearls, a rosette, and a button.

Have an awesome night friend!

Zachary's Birthday Card

Hi friends! I hope you had a great day! I was running around a lot today trying to get everything done for my super fun weekend. I was cleaning, cooking, and doing errands and I managed to throw my back out. :( Hopefully, I'll be better tomorrow!
Here's a card I made for Brady's friend Zachary's birthday. They are SO cute! They play together all the time at school and Brady just loves his friend! Brady told me that Zachary loves animals so I made this card for him. Card Positioning Systems 236 for this card but I'm too late to enter it in. Busy couple days! The main image and sentiment are from EAD Designs Carnival Fun. The paper is Imaginsce and the twine is Aqua Divine Twine.

Have a great night, everyone!

FWF: Journey Together

Winner of the Giveaway

True Random Number Generator 4Powered by RANDOM.ORG
Hi friends! I just wanted to write a quick post to announce the winner for my UPrinting Giveaway! The winner is SAVANNAH! YAY!

Fabric Sheet Flower Card

Hi friends! I hope you are well! We are having a good day. Brady went to school today and was picked as the "special buddy" to his friend who is having a birthday tomorrow. They got to do special activities and his friend brought popsicles to share with the class. After school, we had lunch with a friend of mine and her daughter.
Here's a card I blogged on the Love My Tapes blog today. I made a flat and very mailable flower embellishment by cutting out circles of fabric sheets, inking the edges and layering them. I also made this card for a couple challenges. The sketch is from Clean and Simple Stamping #158. I also made this for this week's Ribbon Carousel Challenge 21 to use fabric on your card. For my spool element, I used Muscade Beige Seam Binding from Ribbon Carousel. (Tons of amazing colors over there!) I also used Imaginsce paper and Lawn Fawn stamps for this card.

Have a great day, everyone!

Happy Shower

Hi friends! I hope you all had a great day! I never ended up making it out of the house. The kids didn't complain though. Not that they really ever do, they love staying home. We have a huge backyard so that probably has a lot to do with it.
I was talking to my friend Savannah and she was helping me figure out what challenges I should do. She told me about a couple challenges I should try. So, here's the card I managed to make. I used Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch #135 which I already knew I wanted to use. Then I decided to use Simon Says Stamp's Sing It challenge. They asked for us to be inspired by a song or movie title. I was inspired by Rihanna's Umbrella. I also sought inspiration from Jay Gee's Nook Challenge #11. There was a lovely photo to be inspired by with a yellow umbrella in it. I used Lawn Fawn's Partly Cloudy and some Simple Stories paper. I also used both Green Apple and Lemon Divine Twine.

Have a great night friends!

Beauty of the Butterfly

Hi friends! I hope you are all having a great week! We have no plans today so I'm thinking about making a trip to CVS to see how many deals I can get. It's been a LONG time since I've gone to CVS so we'll see how that goes.
Here's a card I made this weekend for a couple challenges. I'm entering this one in the All Things Unity #40 one layer card challenge and the Wee Memories #68 no patterned paper challenge. I used some Tattered Angels mist for the card stock and for the seam binding. I used Unity's Delight in Beauty for this card.

Have a great day friends!

Ho Ho Ho!

Hi friends! I hope you had a great Monday! We had a pretty good day. Brady went to school and that is going SO well. Then we went to the Olive Garden for lunch which is pretty much my favorite. Afterwards, we went to the mall in search of a new purse for me and some sandals for Brady. We managed not to get either but the boys each got a little fan toy from the Disney store. Brady says that it will "keep me cool when I'm trying to sleep at night." Who can argue with that?
Here's a card I made over the weekend. I am SO in love with this Your Next Stamp Santa Fhinn stamp! If that is not the CUTEST Santa stamp you've ever seen, then I don't know what is! He's so adorable! I paired him with some Basic Grey Nordic Holiday paper and some Cherry Divine Twine. For this card, I used this week's Card Patterns sketch #133. I'm also entering this in the Touch Twin Marker Challenge 1, to color a person image.

Have a great day everyone!

You're Tweet

Hi friends! I hope you are having a great weekend! I can't believe it's gone by so fast. We did nothing this weekend and quite frankly, that makes me a bit restless. Oh well.
Today I'm sharing a card I made with some The Cat's Pajamas stamps that I had never inked up before. I just HAD to have this sweet bird set when it came out and then I never inked it. Does that ever happen to you? I paired it with some First Edition paper. I love the colors in these papers they are from the Desert Bloom collection.

Summer's Bride Sign

Hi friends! Hope that you're having a great day! We had a pretty good weekend. A birthday party and a visit with our friend who is recovering from an accident.

Last Saturday, my friend Summer got married and had a Disney themed wedding. She wanted a sign for the back of the wagon that her flower girl was going to be pulled up the aisle on. Now this is not my normal style but you give the bride exactly what she wants, right? The patterned paper is Stampin Up and the letters were cut out by my local scrapbook store in the Disney font. The bride is from Taylored Expressions Moka Charlotte. I colored her with Copics and added Stickles to her dress and veil.
Have a great day everyone!

Project 365 (Week 1 and 1/2)

***For Jo's Bday blog hop, CLICK HERE. For Lawnscaping blog hop, CLICK HERE! Both have lots of candy and commenting on them ends today.***

Let me start this post by saying that I am full of remembrance today for all those lost in the Sept 11, 2001 attacks. This is something that I think of all the time and I can't believe it's been 10 years.

I had already decided that I would post my Project 365 on Sundays and I'm proceeding to do that because I don't believe that Sept 11 should be a day full of sadness. While I agree it's important to remember and show respect to those who lost their lives, I believe that's something we should do EVERYDAY.

Day 1, Sept 1
One picture of each my kids because I don't pick favorites. (D70 no flash pics with some editing)
Day 2 - Sept 2
Parkie having "coffee" at Starbucks. (iPhone 3G picture with a little editing.)
Day 3- Sept 3
Parker and Logan before Deanna's wedding (Dustin's iPhone 4 picture with editing)
Day 4- Sept 4
Flowers from Deanna's wedding (D70 pic with flash bounced of ceiling, edited)
Day 5 - Sept 5
Brady playing Creationary (D70 with editing)
Day 6 - Sept 6
Parker sunglasses and PJs (D70 with editing)
Day 7 - Sept 7
Brady is 4 years old. (D70 with Light Scoop, edited)
Day 8 - Sept 8
Dustin's photo face, he makes it every time! (D70 with Light Scoop, edited)
Day 9 - Sept 9
Brady helping with dinner (D70/Light Scoop, edited)
Day 10 - Sept 10
Camryn at her bday party (Nikon Coolpix point and shoot no flash with editing)
Have a wonderful day everyone!
